Notice is hereby given that on 23/08/24 The North Yorkshire Council made an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) & 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which will be to amend “North Yorkshire County Council (Parking & Waiting) (No.16) Order 2013”” by introducing the restrictions specified:- Schedule 1 - Waiting Prohibited at All Times With Exemptions Birstwith Road (U85), Harrogate, North east side, from its junction with Kingsley Drive to a point 11 metres south east of its junction with Kingsley Drive. Birstwith Road (U85), Harrogate, South west side, from its junction with Kingsley Drive to a point 11 metres south east of its junction with Kingsley Drive. Kingsley Drive (U414), Harrogate, North west/west side, from a point 27 metres south west of the intersection point of the north west kerb line and the projected boundary line of Nos.52/ 53 Kingsley Drive in a southerly direction to the southern extents of the cul-de-sac located at the northern boundary of Nos 66/ 67 Kingsley Drive. Schedule 2 – Revocations North Yorkshire County Council (Harrogate, Knaresborough, Pannal and Burn Bridge) (Parking and Waiting) (No.27) Order 2017 - In so far as it relates to Schedule 1 (No waiting at any time), items 74, 75 and 76 (Tower Street, Harrogate) - In so far as it relates to Schedule 2 (No waiting 8am to 6pm), item 1 (Tower Street, Harrogate) - In so far as it relates to Schedule 3 (No waiting 8am to 6pm, Mondays to Saturdays), item 4 (Tower Street, Harrogate) & In so far as it relates to Schedule 7 (Disc parking with exemptions for permit holders), item 18 (Tower Street, Harrogate). A copy of the Order, which comes into operation on 02/09/24, together with a map showing the roads affected may be examined at County Hall, Northallerton & at Harrogate Library, Victoria Avenue, Harrogate, HG1 1EG during normal office hours from 29/08/24 to 04/10/24 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or

If you wish to question the validity of the above Order or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks of 23/08/24 make application to the High Court for the purpose.
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, New Road, Scotton, Order 2024, No. 327 We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using New Road, Scotton for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 16/09/24 & 18/10/24, due to highway repair & maintenance works. However, the max duration of this Order is for 3 months. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate.
