ORDER 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that Luton Borough Council, the Highway Authority for the said Borough, on 27th August 2024 made the above Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

The Order will come into operation at 8am on 13th October 2024 and cease operation after 3pm on 13th October 2024 or when the Love Luton Runfest has finished. The Order will therefore be in operation during such time and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs, marshals, barriers or cones. The roads will be opened as soon as runners have passed by and it is safe to do so.

The effect of the Order will allow the Council to temporarily close to vehicular traffic the event roads including roads adjoining the event roads listed in the Schedule below. The Order is intended to create a safe window for the staging of the Love Luton Runfest.

For the period of the closure, the Order will also provide for “No Waiting and No Loading” restrictions to apply within the roads and lengths of roads closed for said event. Any vehicle deemed to be in contravention of the restrictions will be issued with a penalty charge notice and removed. This will be in force during such time and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs, marshals, barriers or cones. Access will be maintained as best as possible to properties where this may be done safely.
