Temporary Road Closure 400077 Bicknor Street
(English Bicknor Parish) Forest Of Dean District

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intend to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400077 Bicknor Street from outside the property known as ‘Rose Cottage’ to its junction with ‘Tanglewood Parade’ for a distance of approximately 30 metres.

The reason for the closure is for works by Severn Trent Water.

Temporary Closure Of Part Of Public Footpath Rwd 33
(West Dean Parish) Forest Of Dean District

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of the Public Footpath RWD 33 from its junction with Public Footpath RWD 40 in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 185 metres.

The footpath falls within the Parish of West Dean in the Forest of Dean District, in the County of Gloucestershire.

The closure is necessary to safeguard the public while the replacement of the footbridge and dam safety works are completed.

The order will come into force on 23rd September 2024 and it is anticipated that the footpath will remain closed until 2nd December 2024. After this date if the closure is still required it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time.

Temporary Closure Of 400067 Scowles Road
(Coleford Town) Forest Of Dean District

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of 400067 Scowles Road from outside the property known as ‘Kiln Cottage’ to outside the property known as ‘The Cottage’ for a distance of approximately 30 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for excavation and maintenance works for Openreach. The said road is expected to be closed from the 26th September 2024 until the 30th September 2024 only or until the works have been completed, whichever is the later.

The reason for the closures and restrictions are for carriageway resurfacing works.

There will be no stopping or waiting or loading permitted throughout the duration of the works. The roads are expected to be closed and restricted at various times on a rolling programme commencing 25th September 2024 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closure/restrictions taking effect. This order can permit the closure and restriction of the roads in any order, or simultaneously as required and it is anticipated all works will be completed by 3rd October 2024.
