What is happening?
WIGAN COUNCIL
(Lomax Street Platt Bridge Wigan) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024 Notice of Making
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Lomax Street Platt Bridge Wigan) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Lomax Street Platt Bridge Wigan during the period of 18:00 and 22:00 on 08/10/2024.
There will be a signed diversion route will be in place.
The Order is necessary to allow frame and cover replacement.
(Wallgate Wigan) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024 Notice of Making
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and
Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Wallgate Wigan) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Wallgate Wigan at the railway bridge during the period of five days commencing on 30/09/2024 to 04/10/2024 from the hours of 22:00 to 05:00.
The alternative route for traffic is: Frog Lane, New Market Street, B5375 Northway, B5375 Powell Street, A49 Riverway, A49 Chapel Lane and A577 Caroline Street. The Order is necessary to allow closure required to allow access/assessment of bridge.
Wigan Borough Public Footpath Ince No.12 – Temporary Diversion Notice of Making
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council, has made the Wigan Borough (Ince No.12 (Part)) (Temporary Diversion) Order 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person, except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable, from using public footpath Ince No.12 from Point A as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 360218 404702, northwest, to Point B as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 359880 404765, for a distance of approximately 346 metres.
An alternative route is available from Point A to Point B as shown on the Order Map, which runs parallel to the existing public footpath, slightly to the north. The public footpath will be diverted for a period of six months, commencing on 2nd September 2024.
The Order is necessary to enable development to take place.
