What is happening?
SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL PUBLIC NOTICE SECTION 14 - THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 NOTICE OF TRAFFIC ORDERS FOR TEMPORARY ROAD AND FOOTPATH CLOSURES
Notice is given that SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL made the following orders:
(STR000918 Footpath ST9 Stratton Woods)
This Order is made for UTILITY WORKS and will impose a closure of PROW footpath ST9 from Kingdown Road to Stratton Wood. Alternative route - A signed diversion route will be in place through Stratton Woods. Effective from the 9 September 2024 6 months but it is expected works will be completed by 20 October 2024.
(STR000932 Footpath WR20 and 21, Clouts Wood, Wroughton)
This Order is made for WILTSHIRE WILDLIFE TRUST WORKS and will impose a closure of PROW footpath WR20 and WR21 located in Clouts Wood. Alternative route - No Access into Woodland while works take place but a signed diversion route will be in place allowing access to all areas. Effective from the 9 September 2024 for 6 months but it is anticipated that works will be completed by the 22 October 2024.
(STR000932 Cherry Orchard, Highworth)
This Order is made for THAMES WATER works and will impose a prohibition of driving on Cherry Orchard between Orange Close and Glebe Place. Traffic to be diverted via Orange Close, Downs View, Cherry Orchard and vice versa. Order effective from the 21 October 2024 for 6 months but it is anticipated the closure will only be in place until the 24 October 2024
(STR000934 B4019 Blunsdon)
This Order is made for CARRIAGEWAY works and will impose a prohibition of driving on The B4019 between The Cold Harbour Public House and Anvil Street Residential Access to be maintained between Anvil Street and Sams Lane. Traffic to be diverted via Sams Lane, High Street and Ermin Street. Order effective from the 28 October 2024 for 6 months but it is anticipated the closure will only be in place until the 1 November 2024.
(STR000913 Link Avenue, West Swindon)
This Order is made for TELECOM works and will impose a prohibition of driving on Link Avenue behind the Link Centre. No Alternative Route available. Order effective from the 14 October 2024 for 6 months but it is anticipated the closure will only be in place for 2 days on the 14 and 15 October 2024.
(STR000910 Belle Vue Road, Swindon)
This Order is made for CITY FIBER works and will impose a prohibition of driving on Belle Vue Road between the mini roundabout junction with Drove Road to the junction with Church Road. Traffic to be diverted via Drove Road, Cricklade Street, High Street, Newport Street Devizes Road, Bath Road, Victoria Road and vice versa. Order effective from the 2 September 2024 for 6 months but it is anticipated the closure will only be in place until the 4 September 2024.
