What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after seven days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Bates Drove (A1101), Littleport (TEMPORARY 40MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024-1193

Is to impose a 40mph speed limit along Bates Drove (A1101), Littleport as lies between Westmoor Drove and the B1411. The Order will be effective, for safety purposes, when signs are in place indicating the speed limit along the whole or any part of the above mentioned length of road whilst works are in progress or temporarily suspended. The Order is made to facilitate carriageway maintenance and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 28 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 27 August 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 28 August 2024 and

27 August 2026.

The Order shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in Uniform.

Chain Causeway, Sutton (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-829

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Chain Causeway, Sutton as lies between Sutton (Ely) Byway 17 and Rosemary Lane. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1381 -A142 - A1421 - A1123 - B1381 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 2 September 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 1 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 2 September and 25 November 2024.

Hall Barn Road, Isleham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1187

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Hall Barn Road, Isleham as lies between Nursery Close and Cornwell Close. The alternative route for vehicles is via Hall Barn Road - Fordham Road - B1104 - West Street and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate communication pipe repair and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 10 September 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 9 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 10 September and 12 September 2024.

Fordham Road, Isleham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1188

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Fordham Road, Isleham as lies between Acer Drive and Hall Barn Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via Isleham Road - B1102 - B1104 - Fordham Road, Isleham and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate communication pipe repair and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 September 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4 September and 6 September 2024.

Mereside, Soham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1223

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Mereside, Soham as lies between number 46a and Spencer Drove.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Mereside - Station Road - Fountain Lane - Churchgate Street - Pratt Street - Hall Street - Julius Martin Lane and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 24 September

2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 23 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 24 September and 26 September 2024.

The Homes, Littleport (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1225

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along The Homes, Littleport as lies between number 33 and City Road.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 24 September 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 23 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs 24 September to 7 October 2024.

Martin Road, Burwell (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1230

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Martin Road, Burwell as lies between number 20 and Carter Road.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Carter Road - Hawthorn Way - Toyse Lane - B1102 -Buntings Path and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate fire hydrant repairs and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 9 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 8 April 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 9 October and 11 October 2024.

Ely Footpath 2, Ely (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024-1235

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Ely Footpath 2, Ely as lies between Ely Footpath 5 and Ely Footpath 3.

The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate construction and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 9 September 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 8 March 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 9 September 2024 and 8 March 2025.

Lynn Road, Ely (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1294

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Lynn Road, Ely as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers. The alternative route for vehicles is via Lynn Road - Ely Road, Littleport - Brickmakers Way -A10 - B1411 - Egremont Street, Ely - Lynn Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 20 September 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 19 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 23:00hrs and 04:00hrs 20 September to 30 September 2024.

Short Lane, Coveney (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1308

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Short Lane, Coveney as lies between Coveney Byway 17 and Long Lane. The alternative route for vehicles is via Long Lane - Wentworth Road - Long Causeway -Long Causeway, Mitcham - A142 - The Slade, Witcham - Martins Lane - Hive Road - Gravel Drove - Witcham Bridge Drove - Jerusalem Drove, Coveney - The Green - Main Street, Wardy Hill - Short Causeway, Coveney and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate chamber installation and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 11 September 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 10 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 11 September and 13 September 2024. Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders.
