What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN AND AROUND LOW LORTON, TALLENTIRE, DEANSCALES, HIGH LORTON, PARDSHAW, BRACKENTHWAITE, LOWESWATER, COCKERMOUTH AND BRIGHAM) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule.
Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary closures are in force. A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 1 September 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as stated in the schedule and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. EXTENT OF RESTRICTIONS AND ALTERNATIVE ROUTES
1. U2208, Low Lorton - from 1 September 2024 for approx. 1 week (Ref: TTROC/11482)
From its junction with the U2199 to its junction with the B5289.
Alternative Route: via the B5289 and the U2199.
2. U2094, Tallentire- from 3 September 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11731)
From its junction with the U2092 to its junction with the C2003.
Alternative Route: via the C2003 and the U2092 Gilcrux.
3. C2032, Deanscales - from 5 September 2024 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROC/11735)
From its junction with the U2193 to its junction with the C2031.
Alternative Route: via the C2032, U2194 and the U2193.
4. U2207, High Lorton - from 6 September 2024 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROC/11757)
The entire length of the U2207 from its junction with the U2199.
There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.
5. U2198 Pardshaw - from 7 September 2024 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROC/11584)
From its junction with the U2197 to its junction with Peppercoats Brow.
Alternative Route: via Peppercoats Brow and the U2197.
6. C2030, Brackenthwaite - from 9 September 2024 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROC/11736)
From its junction with the U2200 to its junction with the B5289.
Alternative Route: via the B5289, U2199 and the U2200.
7. B5289, Brackenthwaite - from 17 September 2024 for Approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11737)
From its junction with the C2030 extending in a northerly direction for approx 360m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the B5289, U2199, U2200 and the C2030.
8. C2030, Loweswater - from 19 September 2024 for Approx. 1 week (Ref: TTROC/11745)
From a point approx 2km south west of its junction with the B5289, extending in a north westerly direction for approx 3.3km.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C2030 Mockerkin, A5086, C2027, B5292, U2199 and the B5289.
9. U2199, High Lorton - from 25 September for Approx. 4 days (Ref: TTROC/11747) From its junction with the U2209, extending in a north westerly direction for approx 1.6km.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U2199, U2207 and B5292.
10. U2199, High Lorton - from 29 September 2024 for Approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11759)
From its junction with the U2207 to its junction with the U2208.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U2199, B5289, B5292 and the U2207.
11. C2027, Cockermouth - from 7 October 2024 for Approx. 1 week (Ref: TTROC/11756)
From its junction with the B5292 to its junction with the A5086.
Alternative Route: via the A5086, Lamplugh Road, The Level, Gallowbarrow, U2286 Station Road and the B5292 Lorton Street, Victoria Road and Lorton Road.
12. C2031, Deanscales - from 12 October 2024 for Approx. duration 3 days (Ref: TTROC/11749)
From its junction with the C2032, extending in a south westerly direction for approx 1.6km.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C2031, C2036 Greysouthen, C2027 Eaglesfield and the C2032.
13. C2039 Hotchberry Road, Brigham - from 3 November 2024 for Approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROC/11778) From a point approx 210m north west of its junction with the C2027, extending in a north westerly direction for approx 1.4km.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C2039 Hotchberry Road, C2007, C2036 Greysouthen and the C2027.
14. U2194, Deanscales - from 6 November 2024 for Approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROC/11779)
From its junction with the A5086 to its junction with the C2032. Alternative Route: via the C2032 and the A5086.
15. C2032, Deanscales - from 9 November 2024 for Approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11780)
From its junction with the A5086 to its junction with the U2193.
Alternative Route: via the U2193, U2194 and the A5086.
16. C2032, Deanscales - from 11 November 2024 for Approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11781)
From its junction with the U2194, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 1km.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the C2032, U2193 and the U2194.
