Wharf Street, Temporary Road Closure Due To Gas Works
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL WHARF STREET, SHIPLEY TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of gas works to be executed on or near Wharf Street, Shipley has made the above-named Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Wharf Street from its junction with Otley Road for approximately 5 metres.
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on the said length of road. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the Order will be available via Wharf Street (unaffected section), Otley Road, Salt Mills Road, Victoria Street and vice versa.
The Order will come into force at 08:00 hours on the 2nd September 2024 until 18:00 hours on the 20th September 2024 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
