Windermere Road, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Utility Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U4379 WINDERMERE ROAD, WHITEHAVEN) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the U4379 Windermere Road, Whitehaven from a point outside No. 65 Windermere Road, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 30m to a point outside No. 90 Windermere Road.
A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of Windermere Road, Fleswick Avenue and Woodhouse Road.

The Order will come into operation on 16 September 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 3 days between 0900 and 1700 hours and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
