What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER -CARRIAGEWAY PATCHING WORKS -VARIOUS LOCATIONS
1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council have on the 26 August 2024 made an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which has the following effect:-
In phases, in force as and when signed
(a) The temporary southbound closure of Surrenden Road between the junction of Surrenden Crescent and the junction of Draxmont Way.
(b) The temporary closure of Surrenden Road between the junction of Preston Drove and the junction of Loder Road.
(c) The temporary closure of Ditchling Road between the junction of Balfour Road and the junction of Ashford Road.
(d) The temporary prohibition of the right hand turn from Eastern Road onto Park Street and from Park Street onto Eastern Road.
(e) The temporary suspension of the Eastbound Bus Lane on Eastern Road from the junction with Park Street for approximately 100 metres.
(f) The temporary closure of Church Road between the junction of Selborne Road and the junction of Holland Road.
(g) The temporary closure of Trafalgar Street between the junction of Trafalgar Lane and the junction of Frederick Place.
(h) The temporary closure of Stanmer Street for its entire length.
(i) The temporary closure of Tongdean Lane between the junction of Valley Drive and the junction of Eldred Avenue.
(j) The temporary closure of Valley Drive between the junction of Tongdean Lane and property numbers 5 and 6. (k) The temporary closure of St Georges Road
between the junction of College Road and
Sudeley Place.
2. The Order is necessary to allow Carriageway Patching works to take place.
3. Pedestrian access will be maintained and a signed diversion route for vehicular traffic will be in place where necessary.
4. This Order comes into force on 26 August 2024 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 7 September 2024.
