Fernhill Road - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Carriageway Repairs
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(FERNHILL ROAD, TITHBY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (R24-188)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Tithby in the Borough of Rushcliffe.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. Fernhill Road, Tithby - From its junction with Cropwell Road to its junction with Fern Road
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Uploading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road
a. Fernhill Road, Tithby - From its junction with Cropwell Road to its junction with Fern Road
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 08:00 hours until 15:30 hours only From Wednesday 4th September until Monday 9th September 2024.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
Fernhill Road - Cropwell Road - Cropwell Bishop Road - Cropwell Butler Road - Fern Road - Fernhill Road and vice versa
The Order will come into force on Wednesday 4th September 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.
The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry carriageway repairs;
