Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA

A264 Ashurst Hill, Ashurst, TN3 9TW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow railway bridge works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A264 Ashurst Hill, Ashurst, on or after 25th September 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the level crossing, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A264 Ashurst Hill, A264 Watch Oak Hill, A264 East Grinstead Road, A264 Colestock Road, B2026 Edenbridge Road, B2110 Castlefields, B2110 Withyham Road, B2110 Groombridge Hill, A264 Ashurst Road, A264 Ashurst Hill and vice versa.

 

B2162 Maidstone Road, Horsmonden, TN12 8DD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow road marking installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2162 Maidstone Road, Horsmonden, on or after 13th September 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of The Foundry to the junction of Haymans Hill, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2162 Maidstone Road, B2162 Claygate, B2162 Collier Street, B2162 Benover Road, B2162 Hampstead Lane, B2015 Maidstone Road, A228 Maidstone Road Roundabout, A228 Hale Street Bypass, A228 Branbridges Ind Est Roundabout, A228 Branbridges Road, B2160 Maidstone Road, B2160 Gedges Hill, B2160 Maidstone Road, A21 Kippings Cross Roundabout, A21 Hastings Road, A21 Lamberhurst Quarter, A21 Lamberhurst Bypass, A21 Forstal Farm Roundabout, A262 Horsmonden Road, B2162 Horsmonden Road, B2162 Lamberhurst Road, B2162 Maidstone Road and vice versa.

 

Beech Lane, Matfield, TN12 7HG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beech Lane, Matfield, on or after 25th September 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Benbrock. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Beech Lane, Cryals Road, A21 Hastings Road, Beech Road and vice versa.

 

Bodiam Road, Sandhurst, TN18 5LW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow disconnection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bodiam Road, Sandhurst, on or after 12th September 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Betherinden Cottages, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bodiam Road, A268 Queen Street, A268 Megrims Hill, Silverden Lane, Bodiam Road and vice versa.

 

Broom Lane, Langton Green (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Broom Lane, Langton Green, on or after 26th September 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the Sewage Treatment works to Broom Park, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

he alternative route for any through traffic is via Broom Lane, A264 Langton Road, Tea Garden Lane, High Rocks Lane, Hillswood Road, Broom Lane and vice versa.

 

Burnt House Lane, Langton Green, TN3 0JT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow drainage repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Burnt House Lane, Langton Green, on or after 9th September 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Farnham Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Farnham Lane, A264 Langton Road, The Green, Speldhurst Road, Langton Road, Burnt House Lane and vice versa.

 

Churn Lane, Brenchley (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Churn Lane, Brenchley, on or after 9th September 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Beechland. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Churn Lane, B2162 Maidstone Road, The Heath, Brenchley Road, Horsmonden Road, High Street, Brenchley Road, B2160 Maidstone Road, B2160 Gedges Hill, B2160 Maidstone Road, Mascalls Court Road, Mile Oak Road, Pearsons Green Road, Churn Lane and vice versa.

 

Crittenden Road, Matfield (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow tree felling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Crittenden Road, Matfield, on or after 12th September 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Blantyre, between the hours of 09:30 and 16:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Crittenden Road, A228 Colts Hill, A228 Maidstone Road, B2017 Badsell Road, B2160 Maidstone Road, B2160 Gedges Hill, B2160 Maidstone Road, Chestnut Lane, Crittenden Road and vice versa.

 

Mile Lane, Goudhurst, TN17 2NU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mile Lane, Goudhurst, on or after 25th September 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Holly Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mile Lane, A262 Cranbrook Road, B2084 Chequers Road, Jarvis Lane, Mile Lane and vice versa.

 

Mile Oak Road, Brenchley (TEMPORARY SPEED REDUCTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out a 30mph speed limit will be imposed, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily restrict through traffic on part of Mile Oak Road, Brenchley, on or after 23rd September 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

Mile Oak Road will be restricted to 30mph from the junction of Knowle Lane and Mile Oak Cottages.

 

Spelmonden Road, Horsmonden, TN12 8EE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow tree felling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Spelmonden Road, Horsmonden, on or after 25th September 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from The Oast and Orchard Lodge, between the hours of 09:30 and 16:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Spelmonden Road, Rectory Park Road, Brick Kiln Lane, Goudhurst Road, The Heath, B2162 Lamberhurst Road and vice versa.

 

Various Roads, Royal Tunbridge Wells (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow the Hospice in the Weald Run event to be held, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Various Roads, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 15th September 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

Various Roads, Tunbridge Wells, as detailed below, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only, shall be temporarily prohibited.

Castle Road will be closed between the junctions of Mount Edgecombe Road and A26 Eridge Road.

A26 Eridge Road will be closed between the junctions of Castle Road and Major Yorks Road.

Major Yorks Road will be closed between the junctions of A26 Eridge Road and Nevill Park.

Nevill Park will be closed between Major Yorks Road and A264 Langton Road.

Hungershall Park will be closed between the junctions of Major Yorks Road to High Rocks Lane.

High Rocks Lane will be closed from Hungershall Park to the junction of Tea Garden Lane.

Tea Garden Lane will be closed between the junctions of High Rocks Lane and A264 Langton Road.

A264 Church Road will be closed between A26 London Road and A264 Mount Ephraim.

A264 Mount Ephraim will be closed between A264 Church Road to A264 Bishops Down.

A264 Bishops Down will be closed from A264 Mount Ephraim to A264 Langton Road.

A264 Langton Road will be closed from A264 Bishops Down to the junction of Holmewood Ridge.

Holmewood Ridge will be closed from the junction of A264 Langton Road to Broom Lane.

Broom Lane will be closed from the junction of Holmewood Ridge to Hillswood Road.

The alternative route for any A264 through traffic is via A264 Mount Ephraim, A26 Mount Ephraim, A26 St. Johns Road, Spelhurst Road, Etherington Hill, Speldhurst Hill, Langton Road, Speldhurst Road, The Green, A264 Langton Road and vice versa.

The alternative route for any Broom Lane through traffic is via A264 Langton Road, B2110 Groombridge Hill, B2110 Withyham Road, Station Road, Broadwater Forest Lane, Hillswood Road and vice versa.

The alternative route for any High Rocks Lane, Hungershall Park and Major Yorks Road through traffic is via A26 Eridge Road, Broadwater Forest Lane, Hillswood Road and vice versa.
