Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA
A20 London Road & Lunsford Lane, Aylesford, ME19 6ST (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow highway improvement works in collaboration with electrical ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A20 London Road & Lunsford Lane, Aylesford, on or after 13th September 2024 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.
A20 London Road will be closed from the junction of Roundhay to the junction of Winterfield Lane, between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers.
Lunsford Lane will be closed at the junction with A20 London Road to outside 31, between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any A20 London Road through traffic is via A20 London Road, A20 Ashton Way, A228 Leybourne Bypass, A228 Leybourne Interchange, A228 Castle Way, Leybourne Way, New Hythe Lane, A20 London Road and vice versa.
The alternative route for any northbound through traffic for Lunsford Lane is via Lunsford Lane, A20 London Road, New Hythe Lane, Leybourne Way, Gighill Road, Lunsford Lane and vice versa.
The alternative route for any southbound through traffic for Lunsford Lane is via Lunsford Lane, Gighill Road, Leybourne Way, A228 Castle Way, A228 Leybourne Interchange, A228 Leybourne Bypass, A20 Ashton Way, A20 London Road and vice versa.
Bank Street, Tonbridge (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow highway works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily restrict through traffic on part of Bank Street, Tonbridge, on or after 9th September 2024 for up to 96 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between The Slade and B2260 High Street, at various times for up to 60 minutes at any one time to allow large machinery to be manoeuvred in either direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The One-way order on Bank Street will also be suspended to allow works to be carried out.
There is alternative route for any through traffic is via The Slade, Annison Street, Lansdowne Road, B2260 High Street and vice versa.
Birling Road, Leybourne, ME19 5HT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily restrict through traffic on part of Birling Road, Leybourne, on or after 11th September 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 71, between the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The one-way order on Birling Road will be temporarily suspended to allow two way traffic.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Birling Road, A20 London Road, Roughetts Road, The Street, Birling Road, Ryarsh Road, Bull Road, Birling Road and vice versa.
Hartlake Road, Golden Green, TN11 0LL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow blockage clearance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hartlake Road, Golden Green, on or after 23rd September 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Three Elm Lane and Hartlake Cottages, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hartlake Road, Three Elm Lane, A26 Hadlow Road East, A26 Cornwallis Avenue, A26 Hadlow Road, A26 Cannon Lane, A26 Vale Road, A26 Vale Rise, A26 Woodgate Way, B2017 Tudeley Road, Hartlake Road and vice versa.
Rochester Road, Burham, ME1 3SQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rochester Road, Burham, on or after 26th September 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Little Culand. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pilgrims Way, Rochester Road, Lower Warren Road, Warren Road, Mill Lane, Maidstone Road, A229 Bluebell Hill Slip Link Bridge, A229 Lord Lees Roundabout, Bridgewood Roundabout, B2097 Rochester Road, B2097 Maidstone Road, Priestfields, Borstal Street, Wouldham Road, Burham Road, Pilgrims Way, Rochester Road and vice versa.
Roughway Lane, Plaxtol, TN11 9SN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow electric supply disconnection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Roughway Lane, Plaxtol, on or after 27th September 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Halebank. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Roughway Lane, The Hurst, Long Mill Lane, Roughway Lane and vice versa.
Terrys Lodge Road & Old Terrys Lodge Road, Wrotham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Terrys Lodge Road & Old Terrys Lodge Road, Wrotham, on or after 24th September 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the M20 underpass and Old Terry’s Lodge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Terrys Lodge Road, A20 London Road, Bull Lane, High Street, Kemsing Road, Pilgrims Way, Old Terrys Lodge Road and vice versa.
