Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

MAIDSTONE AREA

A274 Wheeler Street, A274 Biddenden Road & A274 Headcorn Road, Headcorn (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A274 Wheeler Street, A274 Biddenden Road & A274 Headcorn Road, Headcorn, on or after 11th September 2024 for up to 16 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Knowles Gardens to the junction of Cot Lane, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A274 Wheeler Street, A274 Station Road, A274 High Street, A274 North Street, A274 Mill Bank, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 Headcorn Road, A274 Sutton Valence Hill, A274 North Street, A274 Maidstone Road, B2163 Plough Wents Road, B2163 Heath Road, A229 Linton Hill, A229 Staplehurst Road, A229 Maidstone Road, A229 Station Road, A229 High Street, A229 Cranbrook Road, A229 Knoxbridge, A229 Rocks Hill, A229 Camden Hill, A229 The Common, A229 Wilsley Pound, A262 Sissinghurst Road, A262 The Street, A262 Biddenden Road, A262 Sissinghurst Road, A262 High Street, A274 North Street, A274 Headcorn Road and vice versa.

 

B2163 Upper Street, Leeds, ME17 1SD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2163 Upper Street, Leeds, on or after 25th September 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Yew Tree House, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2163 Upper Street, B2163 Leeds Road, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 Sutton Road, Willington Street, A20 Ashford Road, B2163 Penfold Hill, B2163 Lower Street and vice versa.

 

Burberry Lane, Leeds, ME17 1RJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Burberry Lane, Leeds, on or after 25th September 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of B2163 Lower Street and George Lane during the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2163 Lower Street, George Lane and vice versa.

 

Clapper Lane, Staplehurst, TN12 0JT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Clapper Lane, Staplehurst, on or after 16th September 2024 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Waysmeet. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Clapper Lane, A229 Maidstone Road, George Street, Clapper Lane and vice versa.

 

Dean Street, Coxheath, ME15 0PZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow overhead structure works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dean Street, Coxheath, on or after 12th September 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Horseshoes Public House, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dean Street, B2010 Lower Road, B2163 Ewell Lane, B2163 Heath Road, Dean Street and vice versa.

 

Pheasant Lane, Maidstone, ME15 9QZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow electric works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pheasant Lane, Maidstone, on or after 24th September 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Boughton Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained.

 

Sandling Road, Maidstone, ME14 2UY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sandling Road, Maidstone, on or after 15th September 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Cantium House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandling Road, Week Street, Station Road, St Faiths Street, A229 Fairmeadow, A229 Royal Engineers Road, B2012 Staceys Street, Sandling Road and vice versa.

 

Yelsted Road, Yelsted, ME9 7UT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Yelsted Road, Yelsted, on or after 27th September 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Crest Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Yelsted Road, Hill Green Road, South Street Road, Yelsted Road and vice versa.
