Gravesham, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

GRAVESHAM AREA

Batts Road Junction Of Gold Street To Junction With Henley Street, Cobham, DA12 3AB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of modifications to a Network Rail power cubicle, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Batts Road Junction Of Gold Street To Junction With Henley Street, Cobham, on or after 25th September 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the railway bridge.

The alternative route is via Batts Road Junction Of Gold Street To Junction With Henley Street, Batts Road, Gold Street, Sole Street, The Street, Cobhambury Road and vice versa.

 

College Road, Northfleet, DA11 9AS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of new pedestrian footpath, new kerbing and resurfacing works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of College Road, Northfleet, on or after 9th September 2024 until 25th April 2025 or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Grove Road and Wallis Park.

The alternative route is via B2175 Stonebridge Road, Grove Road and vice versa.

 

Thong Lane, Shorne, DA12 4AA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Thong Lane, Shorne, on or after 9th September 2024 for up to 2 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Orchard House and Thong House.

The alternative route is via Thong Lane, Darnley Lodge Lane, Brewers Road, The Ridge Way, Tanyard Hill, The Street, Forge Lane, A226 Gravesend Road, A226 Rochester Road and vice versa.

 

Wellington Street, Gravesend, DA12 9GR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wellington Street, Gravesend, on or after 25th September 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 1.

The alternative route is via A226 Milton Road, A226 Parrock Street, Saddington Street, Wellington Street and vice versa.
