Mansfield Road And Park Lane - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Carriageway Resurfacing Works

What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(MANSFIELD ROAD AND PARK LANE, SELSTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (A24-090)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Selston in the District of Ashfield.

The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:

a. Mansfield Road, Selston - From its junction with Commonside, to its junction with Windsor Road.

b. Park Lane, Selston - For its entire Length.

2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading (Both Sides) (from 20:00 Hours, until 06:00 Hours) in the following length of road.

a. Mansfield Road, Selston - From its junction with Commonside, to its junction with Windsor Road.

b. Park Lane, Selston - For its entire Length.

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 20:00 Hours, Monday 2nd September 2024 Until 06:00 Hours, Saturday 14th September 2024, Nightly.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

a. B6018 Church Hill - B6020 Chapel Street - B6020 The Hill - B6020 Victoria Road - B6020 Lane End - B6020 Urban Road - B6020 Diamond Avenue - A611 Derby Road - Forest Road - Salmon Lane - Annesley Lane - B600 Nottingham Road - B6018 Mansfield Road and Vice Versa

The Order will come into force on Monday 2nd September 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.

The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out works to Carriageway Resurfacing;
