What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 SECTION 14(1)

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE EDGWARE ROAD FLYOVER, NW2 AND NW9

The BARNET LONDON BOROUGH COUNCIL HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing to the need to facilitate bridge and asset surveys prior to structural repair and maintenance work, they intend to make an Order which will close Edgware Road Flyover, NW2 and NW9 in both directions at its junction with Cool Oak Lane to the junction with Humber Road. The works will commence on Monday 9th September 2024 at 22:00pm and is expected to last for 8 nights. The Closure will be in operation between the hours of 22:00pm and 05:00am only. The alternative route for motorists travelling northbound on Edgware Road will be via Edgware Road, Staples Corner Roundabout, West Hendon Broadway Slip, West Hendon Broadway. The diversion for motorists travelling Southbound on West Hendon Broadway will be via West Hendon Broadway, West Hendon Broadway Slip, Staples Corner Roundabout, Edgware Road Slip, Edgware Road.

Nothing in the above paragraphs shall apply to anything done with the permission of or at the direction of a Police Officer in uniform or other uniformed personnel authorised by the Commissioner of the Metropolis.
