What is happening?

HYNDBURN BOROUGH COUNCIL
LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 – SECTION 123 DISPOSAL OF OPEN SPACE

Hyndburn Borough Council hereby gives notice of its intention to grant or enter into lease, transfer, easement, dedication and other agreements (“the disposals”) on land at Bolton Avenue, Huncoat to facilitate the Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme (HARP).

This land is currently used as playing fields and is considered to be public open space. At the end of the HARP works it is intended that the majority of the land will be reinstated to public open space and playing fields.

A plan showing the boundaries of this land is available for public inspection at the Council Offices in Scaitcliffe House, Ormerod Street, Accrington, BB5 0PF between 9.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

Anyone wishing to object to the disposal of this open space should forward their comments in writing or by email to the Council’s Regeneration and Property Manager at the above address or email corporateproperty@hyndburnbc.gov.uk by Friday 20th September 2024.
