What is happening?

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC & FOOTWAY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that Birmingham City Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle or pedestrian to enter or proceed into Weaman Street at its junction with Whittall Street.

The temporary Order is required to facilitate the replacement of external stairs.

An alternative route for vehicles and pedestrians affected by this Order will be signed on site.

Access to frontages will be maintained as necessary.

These prohibitions shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

The Order will come into operation on Saturday 31st August 2024 and will remain in force for a period of 20 weeks or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier.
