NOTICE OF MAKING OF AN ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

DEVON COUNTY COUNCIL (FOOTPATH No.16,BROADCLYST)pt PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2024 

The above order, made on 12 August 2024 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, will divert part of public Footpath No.16, Broadclyst running from its current route from Mooredge Farm through bog and across two fields, to a new route running along a track north west from Mooredge Farm, Broadclyst GR SX(9794,9803) to a field gate at GR SX(9788,9808) and then along the eastern boundary of a field in a north easterly direction to GR SX(9795,9818) and then in a northerly direction to GR SX(9791,9828) as shown on the order map.

A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the offices of East Devon District Council, Blackdown House, Border Road, Heathfield Industrial Estate, Honiton, EX14 1EJ from 10.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday, and can be viewed and downloaded at www.devon.gov.uk/haveyoursay .

Copies of the order and map may be bought from the address below at the price of £5.00. Any representations about or objections to the order must be sent in writing to the Public Rights of Way, Great Moor House, Cleave Tor Room, Bittern Road, Sowton, Exeter, Devon, EX2 7NL not later than 1 October 2024.

Please state the grounds on which they are made. Copies of any objections or representations received may be circulated to interested parties. If no such representations or objection are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Devon County Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food & Rural Affairs for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
