Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
DARTFORD AREA

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is given that The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter called “the Act”), and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following Order:-
The effect of the proposed named Order will introduce waiting restrictions on the following lengths of road (in this part of the notice DYL’s means double yellow lines) waiting to be prohibited at any time on the following roads:-
Roads in Dartford in the Borough of Dartford
ARUNDEL ROAD – (1) On both sides from its junction with Chatsworth Road for a distance of 10 metres in a north westerly direction. BURNHAM CRESCENT – On both sides of its junction with Chatsworth Road for a distance of 10 metres in north westerly direction. CHATSWORTH ROAD – (1) On the north side to a point 10 metres east and 10 metres west of its junction with Burnham Crescent. (2) On the north side to a point 10 metres east and 10 metres west of its junction with Arundel Road. (3) On the south side to a point 10 metres east and 10 metres west of its junction with Chatsworth Road school entrance. (4) On both sides of its junction with Chatsworth Road school entrance for a distance of 10 metres in a south easterly direction. HOMELEIGH AVENUE – On both sides of its junction with Chatsworth Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south easterly direction.

ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council proposes to make the above named Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3, 4, 19, 65(1), 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) as amended and of all other enabling powers, and having regard to Section 122 of the Act and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order:-
The effect of the Order would be allow vehicles to travel one way only on the following length of roads in Dover:-
QUEENS GARDENS – One way for its entire length travelling from New Street to Worthington Street in a northwesterly direction only.

GRAVESHAM AREA

(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2021 (AMENDMENT No.14) ORDER 2023
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
The effect of the Order is to introduce a no waiting at any time double yellow lines (DYL) on the following length of roads in Gravesend Gravesham:-
ROCHESTER ROAD (A226) – (1) On the west side remove both sets of School Keep Clear markings and replace with the new toucan crossing markings. (2) On the east side remove 2 meters of unrestricted bays outside 61 Rochester Road and replace with DYL. (3) On the east side remove the existing SYL from the pay bays outside number 61 Rocester Road to just past the boundary of 27/29 Rochester Road and replace with DYL’s between the new toucan crossing markings.
The Order was made on 5 September 2024 and its provisions will come into effect on 6 September 2024.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.

ORDER 2024
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make an Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to reduce the existing speed limit to a 30mph speed limit in Otham, Maidstone on the following length of road:-
GREEN HILL – From its junction with Otham Street for a distance of 42 metres in a northerly direction. OTHAM STREET – For its entire length.

(CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT No.5) ORDER 2024
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
NOTICE is hereby given that the Kent County Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

BOXTED LANE – (1) On the east side from its junction with School Lane for a distance of 24 metres in a northerly direction. (2) On the west side from its junction with Bricklands for a distance of 19 metres in a northerly direction. BRICKLANDS – (1) On the south side from its junction with School Lane to its junction with Watercress Way. (2) On the south side from its junction with Watercress Way for a distance of 15 metres in a westerly direction. (3) On the north side from its junction with Boxted Lane for a distance of 36.5 metres in a north westerly direction. SCHOOL LANE – (1) On the north east side extend the DYLs by 15 metres in a south easterly direction outside Parsonage House. (2) On the north east side extend the existing lines from its junction with Blaxland Grange to its junction with Boxted Lane.(3) On the south west side from its junction with Bricklands to its junction entrance with Newington School. (4) On the southwest side place DYLs behind the school keep clears from the entrance to Newington School for a distance of 54 metres in a southeasterly direction. WATERCRESS WAY – On both sides from its junction with Bricklands for a distance of 8.5 metres in a southerly direction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Kent County Council proposes to make the above-named Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to: -
The effect of the order would be to extend the 20MPH limit on the following length of road in Newington, Swale:-
BRICKLANDS - Extend the existing 20MPH speed limit from its junction with School Lane for a distance of 30 metres in a westerly direction.

TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA

(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2023
(AMENDMENT No.4) ORDER 2024
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL hereby make the above named Order under sections under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act:
The effect of the Order will be to extend the existing 40MPH speed limit on the following length of road in Mereworth, Tonbridge & Malling:
B2016 SEVEN MILE LANE – From its roundabout with A26 Tonbridge Road for a distance of 246 metres in a north westerly direction to join up with the existing 40mph limit.
The Order was made on 5 September 2024 and its provisions will come into effect on 6 September 2024.
