What is happening?

LEEDS CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

(Montreal Avenue, Chapel Allerton, Leeds)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s) for Road closure gas mains replacement Leeds City Council intends in not less than 7 days to make an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Montreal Avenue, Chapel Allerton, Leeds in the Chapel Allerton Ward between its junctions with Church Lane and Ottawa Place. The road closure is one way from Ottawa Place to Church Lane. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Montreal Avenue, King George Avenue, Harrogate Road, Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 23rd September 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Friday 4th October 2024. The closure will be in place 24hrs on each day.

(Mount Pisgah, Otley Leeds)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s) for Road Closure required due to scaffold being erected and for sufficient room for traffic to pass Leeds City Council intends in not less than 7 days to make an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Mount Pisgah Otley, Leeds in the Otley & Yeadon Ward between its junctions with Burras Lane and Well Hill. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Burras Lane, Well Hill, Mount Pisgah and vice versa. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 16th September 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Monday 4th November 2024. The closure will be in place for 24hrs each day.

(Speed Limit) (No.24) Order 2024

Leeds City Council proposes to make the above Order under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to introduce:- 20 MPH Speed Limit on: Great North Road – From its junction with Grange Farm Court, to its junction with Davy Avenue. Full details of the proposals together with plans showing the affected lengths of highway and statement of reasons for making the Order are available on request by e-mailing the address below. If you wish to object to, or make any representations concerning the proposed Order, you should write to Traffic Engineering, City Development, Civic Hall, Leeds LS1 1UR or e-mail troteam@leeds.gov.uk  specifying the grounds on which your objection or representation is made, by no later than 19th September 2024. (Speed Limit) (No.12) Order 2024

Leeds City Council proposes to make the above Order under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to introduce:- 20 MPH Speed Limit on: the entire lengths of the following roads unless otherwise stated. Beamsley Close, Beamsley Court, Beamsley Croft, Beamsley Walk, Clifford Drive, Guiseley Drive – From its junction with the Norwood Drive and Ingle Lane to a point 54 metres west of its junction with Bradford Road. High Royds Court, High Royds Drive – From a point 61 metres Westwards from its junction with Bradford Road to its junction with Wharfedale Croft and Norwood Drive. High Royds Fold, Ingle Lane, Jackson Walk, Kingsdale Avenue, Kingsdale Close, Kingsdale Drive, Menston Drive – From its junction with the High Royds Drive to a point 86 metres north of its junction with Norwood Avenue. Newby Close, Newby Court, Norwood Avenue, Norwood Drive, Norwood Fold, Wharfedale Avenue, Wharfedale Court and Wharfedale Fold. Full details of the proposals together with plans showing the affected lengths of highway and statement of reasons for making the Order are available on request by e-mailing the address below.
