SCHOOL STREETS PROJECT – (ACKWORTH MILL DAM SCHOOL)
(MILLGATE (PART), ACKWORTH)
(TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO. 5) ORDER 2024
The Council of the City of Wakefield have made permanent the above Experimental Order under their powers in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, effect of which, in relation to Millgate in Ackworth is to:
Prohibit driving along part of Millgate, from the junction with Mill Lane in an easterly and south-easterly direction for a distance of 205 metres Monday to Friday at the beginning and end of the school day between the times displayed on the signs.
The Order comes into force on the 2nd September 2024. A copy of the Traffic Regulation Order, together with a map showing the affected roads and the Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be viewed on the website www.wakefield.gov.uk/tro
If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date upon which the Order was made ie. 27th August 2024, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
SCHOOL STREETS PROJECT – (DARRINGTON CE (VC) JUNIOR AND INFANT SCHOOL)
(PHILIPS LANE, DARRINGTON)
(TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO. 7) ORDER 2024
The Council of the City of Wakefield have made permanent the above Experimental Order under their powers in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, effect of which, in relation to Philips Lane in Darrington is to:
Prohibit driving along Philips Lane, from the junction with Estcourt Road in a northerly direction for its entirety. Monday to Friday at the beginning and end of the school day between the times displayed on the signs.
The Order comes into force on the 2nd September 2024. A copy of the Traffic Regulation Order, together with a map showing the affected roads and the Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be viewed on the website www.wakefield.gov.uk/tro

The Council of the City of Wakefield have made permanent the above Experimental Order under their powers in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, effect of which, in relation to North Close in Featherstone is to:
Prohibit driving along North Close, from the junction with Willow Lane in an easterly for its entirety. Monday to Friday at the beginning and end of the school day between the times displayed on the signs.

The Council of the City of Wakefield have made permanent the above Experimental Order under their powers in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, effect of which, in relation to Ashton Road (part) in Castleford is to:
Prohibit driving along part of Ashton Road, from the junction with Lightfoot Avenue in a northerly direction to the junction of Willow Road. Monday to Friday at the beginning and end of the school day between the times displayed on the signs.

(WOMERSLEY ROAD, KNOTTINGLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 187) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to re rail and stressing works at the level crossing to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Womersley Road, Knottingley for 20 metres either side of the level crossing. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Womersley Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Spawd Bone Lane, Headlands Lane, Hill Top, Weeland Road, Womersley Road & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 31st August 2024 to 1st September 2024, 20.00 hours to 09.30 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 188) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to allow safe access for overhead cabling to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Wentworth Park Rise, Darrington. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Wentworth Park Rise. ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: No diversion, access maintained.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 2nd September 2024 to 4th September 2024, 08.00 hours to 17.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 191) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for 2x1 joint hole, 13 m track to duct to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Harrow Street, South Elmsall for approximately 50 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Harrow Street.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Cambridge Street, Claypit Lane & vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for surface water and foul water connections to existing sewers to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Bell Street, Upton for approximately 42 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Bell Street.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for new electrical service connection to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Fishergate, Knottingley near the junction of Vale Crescent. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Fishergate.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 207) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to remove diseased trees which are a danger to public safety due to height and condition of the trees to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Great North Road, Wentbridge from Westfield Lane to Moor Lane. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Great North Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Signed diversion will be installed.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to replace manhole frame & cover to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Station Lane, Featherstone for approximately 40 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Station Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: A645 Wakefield Road, B6133 Common Side Lane, Green Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 18th September 2024 at 21.00 hours to 19th September 2024 at 01.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(SKINNER LANE, PONTEFRACT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 212) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to replace manhole frame & cover to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Skinner Lane, Pontefract for approximately 30 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Skinner Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Northgate, Finkle Street, Horsefair, Broad Lane, Southgate, Jubilee Way, Park Lane, Park Road, Castleford Interchange, Park Road, De Lacy Way & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 19th September 2024 at 21.00 hours to 20th September 2024 at 01.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

(PONTEFRACT ROAD, THORPE AUDLIN)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 215) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to plane out & replace existing bituminous surface and reinstall road markings and high friction surfacing to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Pontefract Road, Thorpe Audlin between junction of A639/B6474 Wentbridge Lane and junction of A639 and A621 Wrangbrook Lane. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Pontefract Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: A639 northbound traffic to be diverted at A639/A6201 to follow A6201 west to A638 Doncaster Road to Ackworth to join A628 Barnsley Road toward Pontefract to turn right onto A639 Hardwick Road, south onto A639 to closure point at Fox & Hounds. A639 southbound traffic to be reverse of the above..
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 16th September 2024 to 20th September 2024 overnight 19.00 hours to 06.00 hours, TM to be removed at end of each shift, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.

(RAVEN LANE, SOUTH HIENDLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 216) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for remedial works to rectify defect in the carriageway to be carried out as follows:
