Footpath Closures Various - Whickham - Temporary Prohibit Pedestrians to Facilitate Northern Gas Networks Infrastructure Improvement Works
What is happening?
THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF GATESHEAD (FOOTPATH CLOSURES VARIOUS - WHICKHAM) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that on 28 August 2024 the Borough Council of Gateshead made an Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the lengths of footpath as set out in the Schedule below. The Order is required to facilitate Northern Gas Networks infrastructure improvement works. The Order will come into force on 02 September 2024.
The maximum duration of the Order will be 6 months; however the works are expected to be completed by 06 December 2024.
During the works all pedestrians (except operatives associated with the works and emergency service operatives on duty) will be subject to the footpath closures as set out in the Schedule below until the works are completed or at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the display of traffic signs.
During the works there will be signed diversions in place.
