Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

(B4205 Sansome Street, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) and The County of Hereford and Worcester (Various Roads, Worcester) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1977 (Temporary Suspension (part) Order 2024

Order made: To close that part of B4205 Sansome Street from its junction with A38 Foregate Street to its junction with A38 Sansome Place and to temporarily part suspend The County of Hereford and Worcester (Various Roads, Worcester) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1977 for the duration of the works to allow access to businesses and residents.

Reason: Overhead works by Fletcher Access Ltd.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: A38 Foregate Street, U53102 Pierpoint Street, A38 Sansome Walk, A38 Sansome Place.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day. Commencing: 1 September 2024.

(U54132 Windsor Avenue, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Order made: To close that part of U54132 Windsor Avenue from its junction with U54133 Laugherne Road to its junction with U54131 Blenhiem Road.

Reason: Footway reconstruction by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: U54133 Laugherne Road, U54000 Oldbury Road, U54130 WoodStock Road, U54131 Blenheim Road and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 4 days. Commencing: 2 September 2024.

(Link Footpath F50321 Bearcroft Avenue (between No 41/43), Warndon) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Order made: To close that part of Link F50321 Bearcroft Avenue (between No 41/43) from its junction with U51190 Bearcroft Avenue for a distance of 37 metres in a north westerly direction.

Reason: Footway Reconstruction by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: Link Footpath F50320 Tolladine Road to Woodgreen Drive, B4638 Woodgreen Drive, Link Footpath F50446 Stock Coppice Close (between 34 and 47), U51190 Bearcroft Avenue and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 6 Months. Anticipated duration: 2 days between 2 September 2024 and 19 September 2024.

(Link Footpath F50323 Howcroft Green (o/s no. 11), Warndon, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Order made: To close that part of Link Footpath F50323 Howcroft Green (o/s no. 11) from its junction with Link Footpath F50322 Tolladine Road (between Playgrounds) to its junction with U51193 Howcroft Green.

Reason: Footway resurfacing by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: Link Footpath F50322 Tolladine Road (btw Playgrounds), Link Footpath F50425 Broadfield Gardens (btw no. 35 & 37), U51191 Broadfield Gardens, U51190 Bearcroft Avenue, U51193 Howcroft Green and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 6 Months. Anticipated duration: 4 days between 2 September 2024 and 19 September 2024.

(U50100 Sansome Place, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Order made: To close that part of U50100 Sansome Place from its junction with U50101 Lion Court to its junction with F50492 Black Horse Walk.

Reason: Remedial works by Severn Trent Water.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: U50101 Lion Court, U50100 Sansome Place and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 3 days. Commencing: 2 September 2024.

(Link Footpath F50078 Sherwood Lane to Canada Way, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Order made: To close that part of Link Footpath F50078 Sherwood Lane to Canada Way from its junction with U54200 Canada Way to its junction with U54234 Sherwood Lane.

Reason: Footway reconstruction by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: U54200 Canada Way, U54206 Calgary Drive, U54213 St. Lawrence Close, Link Footpath F50077 Sherwood Lane to St. Lawrence Close and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 6 Months. Anticipated duration: 3 days. Commencing: 2 September 2024.

(Link Footpath F50446 Stock Coppice Close

(between 34 & 47), Warndon) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Order made: To close that part of Link Footpath F50446 Stock Coppice Close (between 34 & 47) from its junction with B4638 Woodgreen Drive to its junction with U51190 Bearcroft Avenue.

Reason: Footpath reconstruction by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

There will be no access for vehicles during the work.

Alternative route: B4638 Woodgreen Drive, Link Footpath F50320 Tolladine Road to Woodgreen Drive, Link Footpath F50321 Bearcroft Avenue (between no. 41/43), U51190 Bearcroft Avenue and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 6 Months. Anticipated duration: 3 days between 2 September 2024 and 19 September 2024.

(B4205 Wylds Lane, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) and The County of Hereford and Worcester (Wylds Lane, Worcester) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1979 (Temporary Suspension) Order 2024

Proposed Order: To close that part of B4205 Wylds Lane from its junction with U52318 Fort Royal Hill to its junction with U52324 Cole Hill and to temporarily suspend The County of Hereford and Worcester (Wylds Lane, Worcester) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1979 to allow two-way traffic to access residents and businesses for the duration of the Order.

Reason: Remedial works to relay depression in carriageway by Severn Trent Water.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: A44 London Road, B4205 Wylds Lane (part), C2290 Wylds Lane and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day. Commencing: 22 September 2024.

(U50132 Raglan Street/Sunnyside Road, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Order made: To close that part of closure 1 - U50132 Raglan Street from its junction with U50132 Sunnyside Road to its junction with U50220 Gregorys Mill. Closure 2 - U50132 Sunnyside Road from its junction with U50132 Raglan Street to its junction with A38 Barbourne Road.

Reason: Footway reconstruction by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: Diversion Anticlockwise: U50221 Melbourne Street, U50215 Crown Street, A38 Droitwich Road, A38 Barbourne Road. Diversion Clockwise: A38 Barbourne Road, A38 Droitwich Road, U50220 Gregorys Mill.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 4 days (24hrs). Commencing: 3 September 2024.

(C1140 Suckley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Proposed Order: To close that part of C1140 Suckley from its junction with C2064 Malvern Hills Boundary to Longley Green for a distance of 50 metres in a south westerly direction.

Reason: Utility work by Severn Trent Water.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: C1140 Suckley into Herefordshire, C2064 Malvern Hills Boundary to Longley Green and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 4 days. Commencing: 24 September 2024.

(C2220 Old Road South, Kempsey) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Proposed Order: To close that part of C2220 Old Road South from its junction with U60014 Meadow Close to its junction with U60013 Pixham Ferry Lane.

Reason: New customer sewage connection by Wye Water Services.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: C2220 Old Road South (part), C2220 Squires Walk, A38 Main Road, C2220 Old Road South and vice versa.

There is no access for Emergency Services diversion route must be followed.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 5 days. Commencing: 23 September 2024.

(U64608 Bailers Lane, Martley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Proposed Order: To close that part of U64608 Bailers Lane from its junction with B4197 Witley Road to its junction with U64608 Barbers Lane.

Reason: Clear debris and grass from the centre of the road by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: U64608 Barbers Lane, B4204 Martley, B4197 Martley, B4197 Witley Road and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 2 days. Commencing: 26 September 2024.

(U50028 Pitchcroft Lane, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Order made: To close that part of U50028 Pitchcroft Lane from its junction with U50027 Barbourne Walk for a distance of 277 metres in an easterly direction.

Reason: Carriageway resurfacing by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: Diversion northbound: U50027 Barbourne Walk, U50030 Sandys Road, U50031 Pope Iron Road. Diversion Southbound: U50027 Barbourne Walk, U50025 Somers Road, U50025 Lyttleton Street and vice versa. Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 2 days between 2 September 2024 and 13 September 2024.

(Link Footpaths F50366 Woodgreen Drive & Link Footpath F50216 Newtown Road (between nos. 253/267), Warndon) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Proposed Order: To close that part of Closure 1: Link Footpath F50366 Woodgreen Drive (opposite Link Footpath Toftdale Green) from its junction with B4638 Woodgreen Drive to its junction with Link Footpath F50216 Newtown Road (between nos. 253/267). Closure 2: Link Footpath F50216 Newtown Road (between nos. 253/267) from its junction with Link Footpath F50366 Woodgreen Drive (opposite Link Footpath Toftdale Green) to its junction with Oakmont Drive (NSG ref. 45001942).

Reason: Footway resurfacing by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: B4636 Newtown Road, B4638 Dugdale Drive, B4638 Woodgreen Drive and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 6 Months. Anticipated duration: 26 days. Commencing: 23 September 2024.

(C2226 Claphill Lane, Rushwick) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Order made: To close that part of C2226 Claphill Lane from its junction with C2298 Bransford Road to its junction with A44 Bromyard Road.

Reason: Replacement gas main by Express Utilities.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: A44 Bromyard Road, A4440 Grove Way, C2298 Bransford Road and vice versa.

Maximum duration:18 Months. Anticipated duration: 33 days (24hrs). Commencing: 2 September 2024.

(C2053 Cockshot Lane, Kington) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Proposed Order: To close that part of C2053 Cockshot Lane from its junction with Park Crescent (NSG Ref 45405494) to its junction with U43206 Dormston Lane.

Reason: Pole testing by Openreach.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: C2053 Cockshot Lane (part), A422 Alcester Road, A422 Worcester Road, C2077 Grafton Flyford to A422 Worcester Road, C2118 Grafton Flyford to Himbleton, C2118 Himbleton to Grafton Flyford, C2032 Himbleton to Middle Road, C2150 Goosehill Lane to Earls Common, C2053 Cockshot Lane and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day. Commencing: 26 September 2024.

(C2027 Station Road, Bransford) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Proposed Order: To close that part of C2027 Station Road from its junction with C2218 Bransford Court Lane to its junction with U62020 Kings End Road.

Reason: Pole testing and tree cutting by Openreach.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: C2027 Station Road (part), A4103 Bransford, A4440 Grove Way, A4440 Hams Way, A449 The Village, A449 Malvern Road, C2027 Old Malvern Road, C2027 Station Road (part) and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day. Commencing: 23 September 2024.

(Link Footpath F50412 Brookthorpe Close to Rodborough Drive, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Order made: To close that part of Link Footpath F50412 Brookthorpe Close to Rodborough Drive from its junction with U51130 Rodborough Drive to its junction with Link Footpath F50412 Rodborough Drive (between no 39-52).

Reason: New Customer Connection by National Grid.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: Link Footpath F50412 Rodborough Drive between No 39-52, Link Footpath F50412 Brookthorpe Close (side No19), U51130 Rodborough Drive and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 6 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day. Commencing: 2 September 2024.

(C1142 Birchwood Road, Suckley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Proposed Order: To close that part of C1142 Birchwood Road from its junction with C2064 Longley Green to Stocks Lane Alfrick for a distance of 1365 metres until county boundary with Herefordshire.

Reason: Carriageway patching by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: C2064 Longley Green to Stocks Lane Alfrick, C2064 Alfrick Pound, C2064 Bridge Stone, C2064 Smith End Green, C2227 Sherridge Road, A4103 Dragons Cross to Hereford Road, A4103 Storridge into Herefordshire and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day between 23 September 2024 and 10 October 2024.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (As Amended) (Stanley Road and Wylds Lane, Worcester) (No Stopping on School Entrance Markings Mon-Fri 8.30am-5.00pm) Order 2024

On 15 August 2024 Worcestershire County Council made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit stopping on School Entrance Markings on the following lengths and sides of roads in Worcester:-

Stanley Road (East side) From a point 108 metres north of its junction with Wylds Lane for a distance of 78 metres in a northerly direction.

Wylds Lane (South side) From a point 136 metres east of its junction with Richmond Hill for a distance of 30 metres in an easterly direction.

The Order will vary the above Consolidation Order (which provides for civil enforcement of contraventions of waiting prohibitions and restrictions) and will contain exemptions to allow parking/access for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.

The Order will come into operation on 5 September 2024.

(A38 Droitwich Road/A4538 Pershore Lane and U41203 Drury Lane, Martin Hussingtree

(40 mph and 30 mph Speed Limit) Order 2024

On 15 August 2024 Worcestershire County Council made an Order the effect of which will be to reduce the speed limit on the following lengths of road in Martin Hussingtree to 40 miles per hour and 30 miles per hour: 40mph Speed Limit

A38 Droitwich Road from a point 150 metres southwest of its junction with C2086 Copcut Lane in a south westerly direction to a point 220 metres northeast of its junction with U41010 Sling Lane, Fernhill Heath.

A4538 Pershore Lane from its junction with A38 Droitwich Road for a distance of 350 metres in a southerly direction.

30mph Speed Limit

U41203 Drury Lane for its entire length.

There are exemptions in the Order for Special Forces Vehicles.

The Order will come into operation on 5 September 2024.

(City of Worcester) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2011 (Variation) Order 2024 [Experimental Revocation of Prohibition of Waiting on Wylds Lane, Worcester]

On 15 August 2024 Worcestershire County Council made an Experimental Order which will revoke probation of waiting at any time on the following

length and side of roads in Worcester:-

Wylds Lane - Worcester - North Side: from its junction with Midland Road for a distance of 27m in a westerly direction.

The Experimental Order will come into operation 12 September 2024 and remain in force for a maximum of 18 months.

(Malvern Hills District) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2013 (Variation) Order 2024 [Experimental Prohibition of Waiting on A38 Main Road, Kempsey]

On 15 August 2024 Worcestershire County Council Made an Experimental Order which will impose prohibition of waiting at any time on the following lengths and sides of roads in Kempsey:-

A38 Main Road, Kempsey (East Side): From its junction with U60046 for a distance of 34m in a southerly direction. From a point 30m north of its junction with U60046 for a distance of 34m in a northerly direction. A38 Main Road, Kempsey (West Side): From its junction with U60046 for a distance of 34m in a southerly direction.

The Experimental Order will come into operation 12 September 2024 and remain in force for a maximum of 18 months.
