What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) C71 (Part), Nettleton; from a point approximately 545m south west of its junction with B4039 for a distance of approximately 123m in a south westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out ducting and chamber installation works and other associated works. Alternative route via C71 (unaffected length) - Nettleton Shrub south east to Fosse Way Lugbury Farm - Nettleton Shrub north to Nettleton Road - C173 - B4039 - C71 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 23 September 2024 and the closure will be required for 10 working days until 04 October 2024. For further information please contact Openreach on 0800 023 2023. B) Old Alexander Road, Malmesbury; from its junction with White Lion Park to its junction with St Aldhelm Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out resurfacing and road marking replacement works and other associated works. Alternative route via C89 - C68 - B4040 - Parklands and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 September 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 for 1 day. C) Winkins Lane (Part), Great Somerford; from its junction with Dauntsey Road to its property known as No.23 Winkins Lane to enable Wessex Water to carry out installation works and other associated works. This Order will come into operation on 27 September 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 until 02 October 2024. This Order will come into operation on 26 September 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 23:59 until 09 October 2024. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 02 September 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 23:59 for 1 day. G) A4 (Part), Avebury, West Overton, Fyfield, Preshute and Marlborough; from its junction with B4003 to its junction with Downs Lane to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing work and associated maintenance works. Alternative route via A4 (unaffected length) - A346 - A342 - A361 - A4 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 06 September 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 13 September 2024. H) C124 (Part), Latton; from its roundabout junction with C419 for a distance of approximately 600m in a north easterly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out works to repair a carriageway defect and other associated works. Alternative route via C124 (unaffected length) - Fairford Road to County Boundary - C116 - Crossroads to County Boundary - C419 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 03 September 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 12 September 2024. I) Fieldside (Part), Bishops Cannings; from outside its property known as Hayfield for a distance of approximately 115m in a southerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole replacement works and other associated works. Alternative route via Fieldside (unaffected length) - Puddles Lane - C50 - Townsend - Fieldside (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 03 September 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 1 day. For further information please Openreach on 0800 023 2023. J) Roundway by Phone Box North then North West to Car Park (Part), Devizes: from a point approximately 250m north of its junction with C249 for a distance of approximately 200m in a north westerly direction to enable National Grid to carry out work to install belllmouths, plant crossing install and other associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order which previously came into operation on 06 May 2024 will now recommence on 02 September 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 until 18 September 2024. For further information please contact National Grid on 0800 096 3080. Orders A) to I) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Order J) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all users: Footpath 11, Marlborough; from its junction with Back Lane for its entire length to enable Pipeline Logistics Ltd to carry out installation of 2x32mm underground clean water pipes and associated works. Alternative route Ironmonger Lane - Back Lane and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 02 September 2024 and the closure will be required until 04 September 2024. It is anticipated that the works will take the state duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 6 months. CYCLE TRACKS ACT 1984 THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (FOOTPATH 88, CHIPPENHAM) (CYCLE TRACKS) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made the above Order, which requires confirmation, under the Cycle Tracks Act 1984 the effect of which will be to designate the following length of footpath as a cycle track:- Footpath 88, Chippenham - the complete length (including spurs). Deposit copies of the unconfirmed Order and plan may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Chippenham Library, Timber Street, Chippenham between the hours of 10am-7pm Monday, 9am-5pm Tuesday and Saturday, 9am-1pm Wednesday and 9am-7pm Thursday and Friday until 30 September 2024. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 PEDESTRIAN CROSSING - A346 SALISBURY ROAD, MARLBOROUGH
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 proposes the installation of a "TOUCAN" Crossing (an un-segregated crossing for pedestrians and cyclists) in A346 Salisbury Road, Marlborough, the centre of the crossing being at a point 22 metres north of its roundabout junction with Jennings Road. A copy of the plan showing the location of the crossing may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Marlborough Library, 91 High Street SN8 1HD between the hours of 2pm to 7pm Monday, 9.30am to 5pm Wednesday and Friday, 9.30am to 7pm Thursday and 9.30am to 1pm Saturday until 23 September 2024.
