A52 and A5111 Trunk Roads, Spondon, Derbyshire - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic

THE A52 AND A5111 TRUNK ROADS (SPONDON, DERBYSHIRE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A52 and A5111 Trunk Roads at Spondon, in the County of Derbyshire, to allow resurfacing works to be carried out to lengths of the A52 nearby, by Derby City Council.
The effect of the Order will be to close –
(1) the westbound carriageway of the A52 from its junction with the exit slip road leading to its roundabout junction with Derby Road, the A6005, Merchant Avenue and Megaloughton Lane (Spondon Roundabout), to its junction with the link road leading to the southbound carriageway of the A5111, at Spondon; and
(2) the link road leading from the northbound carriageway of the A5111, to its junction with the westbound carriageway of the A52, near Spondon.
The work will be carried out overnight between 20:00 hours and 04:00 hours and is expected to start on Monday 23 September 2024 and continue for four nights. The order will come into force on Monday 16 September 2024.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closures.
A diversion route via the A6005, Derby Road, and Nottingham Road will be signed.
