What is happening?

Temporary Closure 500287 Road From Junction With B4125 To Junction At St Annes Church
(Oxenhall Parish) Forest Of Dean District

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 500287 Road from junction with B4125 to junction at St Annes Church from outside the property known as ‘St Annes Church’ to outside the property known as ‘Winters Farm’ for a distance of approximately 420 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for drainage works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 18th September 2024 until 20th September 2024 only or until the works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

Temporary Closure 400076 Woodville Avenue
(Coleford Town) Forest Of Dean District

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400076 Woodville Avenue from its outside of the property known as No. 1 Woodville Avenue to outside the property known as No. 8 Woodville Avenue for a distance of approximately 47 metres.

The reason for the closure is for water apparatus installation works on behalf of Severn Trent Water. The said road is expected to be closed from 17th September 2024 until 19th September 2024 only or until the works have been completed. Temporary Closure Of Public Bridleway Dlh86 And Public Footpaths Dlh85, Dlh93, Dlh96 And Dbl49
(Blaisdon And Longhope Parish) Forest Of Dean District

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council intend to make an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) Public Bridleway DLH86 AND Public Footpaths DLH85, DLH93, DLH96, DBL49, as detailed in the Schedule below (the PROWS”).

SCHEDULE

Public Footpath DLH 85 extending in a generally southerly direction for approximately 370 metres to its junction with Public Footpath DLH 96

Public Footpath DLH96 from its junction with Public Footpath DLH85 extending in a generally southerly direction for approximately 290 metres to its junction with Public Footpath DBL 49 Public Footpath DLH 49 from its junction with Public Footpath DLH96 extending in a generally southerly direction for approximately 580 metres to its junction with Public Footpath DBL32

Part of Public Footpath DLH 93 from its junction from the forestry track extending in a generally East North East direction for approximately 700 metres to its junction with Public Bridleway DBL86

Part of Public Bridleway DLH 86 from its junction with Public Footpath DLH93 extending in a generally North Easterly direction for approximately 60 metres to its junction with Public Footpath DLH90

The PROWS fall within the Parishes of Blaisdon and Longhope in the Forest of Dean District, Gloucestershire.

The said closures are necessary to protect the public whilst forestry works are carried out. The Order may be in force for up to six months but it is anticipated the PROWS will be closed between the 16th September 2024 and 20th December 2024 or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier.

Alternative route: as signed on Order Plan. Pedestrian access to adjoining properties, and emergency access will be maintained for the duration of the said works.
