(Cycle Track between Layer Road and Fallowfield Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Cycle Track in the Borough of Colchester. From its junction with B1026 Layer Road to the junction with Fallowfield Road. The closure is scheduled to commence on 02 September 2024 to 18 October 2024 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas mains replacement works are undertaken. The alternative route will be via Fallowfield Road, Alamein Road, Salerno Crescent, Layer Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 02 September 2024 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Footpath 3 & Footpath 4 Weeley) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under

section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 3, and Footpath 4 Weeley in the District

of Tendring As below

The closures are scheduled to commence on 24 August 2024 for 6 months or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while development works are undertaken. The alternative routes for both closures will be signed on site and marked by Heras fencing. The Order will come into effect on 24 August 2024 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Elmstead Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Elmstead Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 25m north east of its junction with Capon Road to its end a distance of approximately 40m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th September 2024 for 351 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP20153078323 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while site compound is in place for major works being undertaken by Essex County Council. No alternative route is available.

The Order will come into effect on 29th August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Harwich Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Harwich Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 60m in south west of its junction with Harwich Road Roundabout for a distance of approximately 60m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd September 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310725196 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new water connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Ipswich Road, Ipswich Road Roundabout, St Andrews Avenue, Harwich Road Roundabout and vice versa (with access only into Harwich Road, East Street).

The Order will come into effect on 29th August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Old Heath Road, Fingringhoe Road, Rowhedge Road & Battlesbrook Road, Colchester & Rowhedge Road, Rowhedge) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (Rowhedge Road, Colchester/ Rowhedge) (Temporary Introduction of a 20mph Speed Restriction)

Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

Phase 1: To temporarily close that length of Old Heath Road/Fingringhoe Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from the junction of Speedwell Road and Rowhedge Road a distance of approximately 140m.

Phase 2: To temporarily close that length of Rowhedge Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Fingringhoe Road to its junction with Battlesbrook Road a distance of approximately 310m.

Phase 3: To temporarily close that length of Rowhedge Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 280m south east of its junction with Fingringhoe Road for a distance of approximately 220m in a south easterly direction and Battlesbrook Road, Colchster in the City of Colchester from its junction with Rowhedge Road for a distance of approximately 70m in a south westerly direction.

Phase 4: To temporarily close that length of Rowhedge Road, Colchester/Rowhedge in the City of Colchster from the junction with Chapel Street for a distance of approximately 790m in a north westerly direction.

To temporarily introduce a 20mph speed restriction in that length of Rowhedge Road, Colchester/Rowhedge from a point approximately 170m south east of its junction with Battlesbrook Road for a distance of approximately 750m in a south easterly direction. The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 23rd September 2024 for 26 days (works to be completed in phases), or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001354261, AZ5011001357236, AZ5011001353158 & AZ5011001354384 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas main replacement works are undertaken by Cadent. Alternative routes are available:

Phase 1: Abbots Road, Mersea Road, Blackheath Road, School Lane, Abberton Road, Chapel Road and vice versa (with access only into Rowhegde Road, Fingringhoe Road, Old Heath Road).

Phase 2: Fingringhoe Road and vice versa (with access only into Fingringhoe Road, Marsh Crescent, Head Street, Rectory Road).

Phase 3: Fingringhoe Road and vice versa (with access only into Fingringhoe Road, Marsh Crescent, Head Street, Rectory Road, Battlesbrook Road).

Phase 4: Fingringhoe Road and vice versa (with access only into Fingringhoe Road, Marsh Crescent, Head Street, Rectory Road).

The Order will come into effect on 29th August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Trinity Street, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Trinity Street, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Trinity Square for a distance of approximately 30m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd September 2024 for 1 night (19:00-06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310704035 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new water connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water. No alternative route is available (with access only into Trinity Street, Sir Issacs Walk). The Order will come into effect on 29th August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order (No.22) 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of road in the City of Colchester as specified in the schedule 1 to this Order.

2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway in that length of road in schedule 2 for the duration of the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 29th August 2024, exact dates will be specified on one.network. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the City of Colchester as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of road and those in the schedule for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Birch Road, Birch in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 160m south west of its junction with Fountain Lane for a distance of approximately 50m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th September 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WDNHF87K - Openreach). (Bromley Road, Ardleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bromley Road, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 50m south west of its junction with Chapel Lane for a distance of approximately 260m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th September 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA13959483 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Bromley Road, Parsons Heath Roundabout, Parsons Heath, Fox Street, John De Bois Hill, Colchester Road, Station Road, Frating Road, Colchester Road, Bromley Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 15th August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Dead Lane/South Heath Road, Great Bentley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Dead Lane/South Heath Road, Great Bentley in the District of Tendring, from the junction with Flag Hill for a distance of approximately 1070m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd September 2024 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2350662 - Essex County Council). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Gutteridge Hall Lane, Weeley in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 50m south west of its junction with Clacton Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th August 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7011001359204 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is scheduled to commence on 2nd September 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7011001342867 - Cadent). The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new gas connection works are undertaken by Cadent.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Plough Road, Great Bentley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Station Road for a distance of approximately 140m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd August 2024 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (KA190EGRTBTY0018AB - Gigaclear). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct laying works are undertaken by Gigaclear.

An alternative route is available via Plough Road, Weeley Road, Thorrington Road, Great Bentley Road, Station Road, Clacton Road, Holly Bush Hill, Dead Lane, South Heath Road, Colles Brook Road, Plough Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 15th August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
