TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024
Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:
1 THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:
AYLSHAM - Norwich Road from 37m south of its junction with Buxton Road to its junction with Marriotts Close to facilitate resurfacing works from 1st to 3rd September 2024 (may continue until 15th October 2024). Alternative route is via: Norwich Road, Burgh Road, A140 Aylsham Bypass, Norwich Road. N.B. The closure is to be in place overnight with the exact times signed on site.
BRADWELL - Blackbird Close from its junction with Burgh Road for 70m southwards to facilitate cabling works between 22:30 and 08:00hrs on 25th and 30th September 2024 (may continue until 15th October 2024). Alternative route is via: Blackbird Close, Mill Lane, Beccles Road, Burgh Road.
BRISTON - Edgefield Road from its junction with West End for 40m northwards to facilitate Anglian Water meter exchange works on 30th September 2024 (may continue until 4th October 2024). CAWSTON - Heydon Lane from its junction with Heydon Road to its junction with Chapel Street to facilitate Waterfl stand Power Ltd off-site highway improvement works from 16th to 24th September 2024 (may continue until 24th March 2025). Alternative route is via: Heydon Road, B1145 High Street, Chapel Street, The Street, Cawston.
FELMINGHAM - Cromer Road from 100m south of its junction with Brick Kiln Road for 100m southwards to facilitate new vehicular access and cabling works for Anglian Water Projects Offshore Windfarm from 3rd to 30th September 2024 (may continue until 30th March 2025). Alternative route is via: Felmingham Road, North Walsham Road, Cromer Road, B1145 Green Road/Aylsham Road, Cromer Road (Felmingham, Antingham, North Walsham).
GREAT AND LITTLE PLUMSTEAD - Middle Road from its junction with Hare Road for 350m westwards to facilitate ducting works from 26th July to 6th September 2024 (may continue until 18th October 2024). Alternative route is via: Hare Road, Hare Road, Middle Road, Water Lane, South Walsham Road, Broad Lane, Hare Road (Thorpe St. Andrew, Great and Little Plumstead).
HORSTEAD WITH STANNINGHALL - Hall Lane from its junction with B1150 North Walsham Road for 50m westwards to facilitate UK Power Network works from 6th to 8th September 2024 (may continue until 15th October 2024). Alternative route is via: B1150 North Walsham Road, B1150 Buxton Road, High Street, Horstead, Office Road, Well Green, Hall Lane (Horstead with Stanninghall, Spixworth, Frettenham, Hainford). N.B. Access to St. Faiths Crematorium will be maintained at all times.
HORSTEAD WITH STANNINGHALL - North Walsham Road from 245m north-westwards to its junction with Swan close to facilitate UK Power Network works from 6th to 15th September 2024 (may continue until 1st October 2024). Alternative route is via: B1150 Well Green, Office Road, Hall Lane (Horstead with Stanninghall, Spixworth, Frettenham, Hainford).
MALTBY - Swan Lane from its junction with Panxworth Road for 140m eastwards to facilitate telecommunication works from 6th to 7th September 2024 (may continue until 12th September 2024). Alternative route is via: B1140 Panxworth Road, South Walsham Road, Ranworth Road, School Road, South Walsham, North Walsham.
MAUTBY - Back Lane from 70m north-east of its junction with Hall Road for 20m northwards to facilitate a new farm access from 19th to 30th September 2024 (may continue until 8th October 2024). Alternative route is via: Osier Lane, Reedham Road, Hall Road.
RACKHEATH - Vera Road from its junction with Salhouse Road to its junction with Green Lane East to facilitate new fibre network installation works from 2nd to 20th September 2024 (may continue until 15th November 2024). Alternative route is via: Salhouse Road, Green Lane East. N.B One access route onto Lonsdale Road will be maintained at all times.
REEPHAM - Nowhere Lane from its junction with Lodge Lane for 150m northwards to facilitate Anglian Water new vehicular access works from 1st to 13th September 2024 (may continue until 25th October 2024). Alternative route is via: Jordan Lane, Reepham Road, Bawdeswell Road, Reepham.
REEPHAM - Marl Hill Road from its junction with Whitwell Common to its junction with Mill Lane to facilitate fibre installation works from 2nd to 6th September 2024 (may continue until 18th October 2024). SOUTHREPPS - Chapel Road from its junction with Pitt Street for 603m north westwards to facilitate telecoms upgrade works from 2nd to 9th September 2024 (may continue until 18th October 2024). Alternative route is via: Long Lane, High Street, Chapel Street, Gimingham Road, Pitt Street.
THENHETHORPE - Kerdiston Road from 104m south of its junction with The Street for 50m eastwards to facilitate works for a new electrical connection from 2nd to 18th September 2024 (may continue until 31st October 2024). Alternative route is via: The Street, Reepham Road, Old Lane, B1145 Dereham Road, Kerdiston Road (Reepham, Themelthorpe).
TRUNCH - Brick Kiln Road from 223m east of its junction with Gimingham Road for 80m eastwards to facilitate Anglian Water new pipe connection and culvert works from 19th September 2024 to 21st October 2024 (may continue until 31st October 2024). WALCOTT - Coast Road from its junction with North Walsham Road for 70m southwards to facilitate creation of a new entrance and cable ducting works from 20th September to 4th October 2024 (may continue until 4th April 2025). WEST ACRE - Narford Road from 20m south of its junction with Lynn Road for 450m southwards owing to increased water levels and safety concerns for road users from 28th August 2024 to 8th February 2025 (may continue until the 27th February 2026). Alternative route is via: Narford Road, Nar Valley Way, Fullers Lane, River Road, Lynn Road, Green Hill Road.

Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by vehicles of the named road(s)/footpath(s). In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. When an Order is for a reason other than works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road/footpath. Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required. The Orders are revoked on the end date or on the actual date of removal of the prohibition/restriction where earlier without further notice. If necessary, the restrictions can have a maximum duration of 18 months for vehicular highway Orders or 6 months for non-vehicular highway.
