TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024

Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:

1 THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

AYLSHAM - Norwich Road from 37m south of its junction with Buxton Road to its junction with Marriotts Close to facilitate resurfacing works from 1st to 3rd September 2024 (may continue until 15th October 2024). Alternative route is via: Norwich Road, Burgh Road, A140 Aylsham Bypass, Norwich Road. N.B. The closure is to be in place overnight with the exact times signed on site.

BRADWELL - Blackbird Close from its junction with Burgh Road for 70m southwards to facilitate cabling works between 22:30 and 08:00hrs on 25th and 30th September 2024 (may continue until 15th October 2024). Alternative route is via: Blackbird Close, Mill Lane, Beccles Road, Burgh Road.

BRISTON - Edgefield Road from its junction with West End for 40m northwards to facilitate Anglian Water meter exchange works on 30th September 2024 (may continue until 4th October 2024). Alternative route is via: Edgefield Road, Nowhere Road, Holt Road, Briston Road, The Green, Hunworth Road, Edgefield, Briston, Stody.

CAWSTON - Heydon Lane from its junction with Heydon Road to its junction with Chapel Street to facilitate Waterfl stand Power Ltd off-site highway improvement works from 16th to 24th September 2024 (may continue until 24th March 2025). Alternative route is via: Heydon Road, B1145 High Street, Chapel Street, The Street, Cawston.

FELMINGHAM - Cromer Road from 100m south of its junction with Brick Kiln Road for 100m southwards to facilitate new vehicular access and cabling works for Anglian Water Projects Offshore Windfarm from 3rd to 30th September 2024 (may continue until 30th March 2025). Alternative route is via: Felmingham Road, North Walsham Road, Cromer Road, B1145 Green Road/Aylsham Road, Cromer Road (Felmingham, Antingham, North Walsham).

GREAT AND LITTLE PLUMSTEAD - Middle Road from its junction with Hare Road for 350m westwards to facilitate ducting works from 26th July to 6th September 2024 (may continue until 18th October 2024). Alternative route is via: Hare Road, Hare Road, Middle Road, Water Lane, South Walsham Road, Broad Lane, Hare Road (Thorpe St. Andrew, Great and Little Plumstead).

HORSTEAD WITH STANNINGHALL - Hall Lane from its junction with B1150 North Walsham Road for 50m westwards to facilitate UK Power Network works from 6th to 8th September 2024 (may continue until 15th October 2024). Alternative route is via: B1150 North Walsham Road, B1150 Buxton Road, High Street, Horstead, Office Road, Well Green, Hall Lane (Horstead with Stanninghall, Spixworth, Frettenham, Hainford). N.B. Access to St. Faiths Crematorium will be maintained at all times.

HORSTEAD WITH STANNINGHALL - North Walsham Road from 245m north-westwards to its junction with Swan close to facilitate UK Power Network works from 6th to 15th September 2024 (may continue until 1st October 2024). Alternative route is via: B1150 Well Green, Office Road, Hall Lane (Horstead with Stanninghall, Spixworth, Frettenham, Hainford).

MALTBY - Swan Lane from its junction with Panxworth Road for 140m eastwards to facilitate telecommunication works from 6th to 7th September 2024 (may continue until 12th September 2024). Alternative route is via: B1140 Panxworth Road, South Walsham Road, Ranworth Road, School Road, South Walsham, North Walsham.

MAUTBY - Back Lane from 70m north-east of its junction with Hall Road for 20m northwards to facilitate a new farm access from 19th to 30th September 2024 (may continue until 8th October 2024). Alternative route is via: Osier Lane, Reedham Road, Hall Road.

RACKHEATH - Vera Road from its junction with Salhouse Road to its junction with Green Lane East to facilitate new fibre network installation works from 2nd to 20th September 2024 (may continue until 15th November 2024). Alternative route is via: Salhouse Road, Green Lane East. N.B One access route onto Lonsdale Road will be maintained at all times.

REEPHAM - Nowhere Lane from its junction with Lodge Lane for 150m northwards to facilitate Anglian Water new vehicular access works from 1st to 13th September 2024 (may continue until 25th October 2024). Alternative route is via: Jordan Lane, Reepham Road, Bawdeswell Road, Reepham.

REEPHAM - Marl Hill Road from its junction with Whitwell Common to its junction with Mill Lane to facilitate fibre installation works from 2nd to 6th September 2024 (may continue until 18th October 2024). Alternative route is via: Whitwell Common, Mill Lane, Blackwater Lane, Hazel Lane, Mill Road (Reepham, Great Witchingham).

SOUTHREPPS - Chapel Road from its junction with Pitt Street for 603m north westwards to facilitate telecoms upgrade works from 2nd to 9th September 2024 (may continue until 18th October 2024). Alternative route is via: Long Lane, High Street, Chapel Street, Gimingham Road, Pitt Street.

THENHETHORPE - Kerdiston Road from 104m south of its junction with The Street for 50m eastwards to facilitate works for a new electrical connection from 2nd to 18th September 2024 (may continue until 31st October 2024). Alternative route is via: The Street, Reepham Road, Old Lane, B1145 Dereham Road, Kerdiston Road (Reepham, Themelthorpe).

TRUNCH - Brick Kiln Road from 223m east of its junction with Gimingham Road for 80m eastwards to facilitate Anglian Water new pipe connection and culvert works from 19th September 2024 to 21st October 2024 (may continue until 31st October 2024). Alternative route is via: Brick Kiln Road, Trunch Road, Mundesley Road, Gimingham Road (Trunch, Gimingham).

WALCOTT - Coast Road from its junction with North Walsham Road for 70m southwards to facilitate creation of a new entrance and cable ducting works from 20th September to 4th October 2024 (may continue until 4th April 2025). Alternative route is via: North Walsham Road, Stalham Road, Walcott Green East, Stuston Road, Walcott).

BEETLEY AND GRESSENHALL - C223 Gressenhall Road from its junction with C222 Litcham Road to its junction with B1146 Fakenham Road for 870m northwards to facilitate installation of a fire hydrant and mains repairs from 4th to 6th September 2024 (may continue until 18th October 2024). Alternative route is via: B1146 Fakenham Road, 35146/C222 Litcham Road and vice versa.

BEETLEY - U35127 Green Lane from its junction with U35128 Peacock Lane to its junction with U35127 Green Lane for 160m north-westwards to facilitate carriageway patching works from 4th to 12th September 2024 (may continue until 18th October 2024). BRANDON PARVA, COSTON, RUNHALL AND WELBOURNE - U78170 Common Road from its junction with U78141 Welborne Common for 70m southwards to facilitate creation of a new farm access from 9th to 16th September 2024 (may continue until 23rd October 2024). Alternative route is via: Brandon Road, U78182 Horse Shoe Road and vice versa (Brandon Parva, Coston).

COLKIRK - C537 Dereham Road from 1040m northwest of its junction with B1146 Dereham Road for 50m north westwards to facilitate fire hydrant repairs from 3rd to 5th September 2024 (may continue until 11th October 2024). HEMPNALL - C367 The Street from 70m southeast of its junction with C201 Fastral Lane for 50m south eastwards to facilitate works for a new UK Power Network connection from 4th to 10th September 2024 (may continue until 22nd October 2024). NEEDHAM – C361/200 Wals Lane from its junction with C361/106 Wals Lane for 390m eastwards to facilitate Norfolk County Council drainage works from 2nd to 30th September 2024 (may continue until 30th March 2025). Alternative route is via: N/A.

REDENHALL WITH HARLESTON – Redenhall with Harleston FP25 footpath from its junction with C565 Spirketts Lane for 250m northwards to facilitate high voltage electricity cables works from 1st September 2024 to 28th February 2025. Alternative route is via: N/A.

STOKEHOLY CROSS – U78308 Mangreen Hall Lane from its junction with A140 Ipswich Road for 145m westwards to facilitate the safe maneuvering of vehicles during works out of the Norwich Main Substation. The Road will be temporarily subject to a 30mph speed restriction from 2nd September 2024 to 1st March 2026. Alternative route is via: N/A.

WATTON – C402 Road from 487m south of its junction with A1075 Thetford Road for 20m southwards to facilitate installation of new pumping main by Anglian Water from 2nd to 16th September 2024 (may continue until 18th October 2024). Alternative route is via: C402 Road, Thetford Road, Watton Road, A1075 Thetford Road, U33009 Low Common Lane, U33008 Broomhill Lane, C402 Thompson Road and vice versa (Thompson, Watton, Thetford).

WINBURGH AND WESTFIELD – U35024 Shop Street from 157m north of its junction with U35023 Church Road for 30m northwards to facilitate works by UK Power Network Power Supply from 2nd to 13th September 2024 (may continue until 25th October 2024). Alternative route is via: 35024 Shop Street, B1135 Dereham Road, 35023 Church Road and vice versa.

WIMONDHAM – C511 Cemetery Lane for its entirety to facilitate Anglian Water drainage works. The road shall be temporarily prohibited to vehicular traffic and parking bays and in consequence, traffic will be temporarily prohibited to park, wait, load or unload within the parking bays between 08:00 and 13:00 on the 29th August 2024 (may continue until 16th October 2024). HOLKHAM – A149 Main Road from 84m east of its junction with Glebe Lane for 126m eastwards to facilitate Norfolk County Council drainage works. The Road will be temporarily subject to a 30mph speed restriction from 29th August to 1st September 2024 (may continue until 18th October 2024). Alternative route is via: N/A.

MELTON CONSTABLE – Kitchener Road from its junction with U42238 Kitchener Terrace to its junction with A149 Main Road for 380m northwards to facilitate Norfolk County Council drainage works from 29th August 2024 to 30th August 2024 (may continue until 18th October 2024). HOLME-NEXT-THE-SEA – Eastgate from 100m north of its junction with Kirkgate Street for 400m northwards to facilitate Anglian Water maintenance and repair works from 2nd to 25th September 2024 (may continue until 25th March 2025). Alternative route is via: N/A.

KING'S LYNN – U20723 Folkes Drive from its junction with U20722 Dawnay Avenue for 50m eastwards to facilitate Cadent Gas new connection works from 2nd to 8th September 2024 (may continue until the 16th October 2024). TERRINGTON ST. CLEMENT – Sutton Road from 30m east of its junction with Orange Road for 30m westwards to facilitate UK Power Network new connection works from the 2nd September 2024 (may continue until 6th October 2024). WEST ACRE - Narford Road from 20m south of its junction with Lynn Road for 450m southwards owing to increased water levels and safety concerns for road users from 28th August 2024 to 8th February 2025 (may continue until the 27th February 2026). Alternative route is via: Narford Road, Nar Valley Way, Fullers Lane, River Road, Lynn Road, Green Hill Road.

Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by vehicles of the named road(s)/footpath(s). In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. When an Order is for a reason other than works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road/footpath. Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required. The Orders are revoked on the end date or on the actual date of removal of the prohibition/restriction where earlier without further notice. If necessary, the restrictions can have a maximum duration of 18 months for vehicular highway Orders or 6 months for non-vehicular highway.
