THE A38 TRUNK ROAD (BRANSTON, STAFFORDSHIRE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC IN LAYBY) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) has made an order on the A38 Trunk Road, at Branston, in the County of Staffordshire, to allow works to be carried out by British Telecom.
The effect of the Order will be to close the layby adjacent to the southbound carriageway of the A38, approximately 400 metres southwest of the centreline of its junction with Gateway Road, at Branston.
The work will be carried out overnight between 21:00 hours and 06:00 hours and is expected to start on Friday 6 September 2024 and continue for three nights.
The Order will come into force on 30 August 2024.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closure.

THE M54 MOTORWAY (JUNCTION 1, STAFFORDSHIRE) (SLIP ROADS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) intends to make an order on the M54 Motorway, in the County of Staffordshire, to enable resurfacing works to be carried out nearby.
The effect of the Order will be to close the slip roads leading to and from the M54 at Junction 1.
The work will be carried out overnight between 20:00 hours and 06:00 hours and is expected to start on Sunday 22 September 2024 and continue for approximately two weeks. The Order will come into force on 16 September 2024.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority, ambulance or traffic officer purposes, and vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closure.
Diversion routes via the A460, the A449, the M6 and alternative junctions of the M54 will be signed.
