What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GAUMONT APPROACH, WATFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Gaumont Approach, Watford from its junction with Albert Road South south eastwards for its entire length ("the Road"), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN WATFORD, SOUTH MIMMS, CHORLEYWOOD AND CROXLEY GREEN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. the A41 northbound slip road leading onto the northbound carriageway of A41 North Western Avenue Colne Way, Watford from its junction with the A4008 Stephenson Way/M1 (junction 5) roundabout north westwards to its junction with the northbound carriageway of A41 North Western Avenue Colne Way, a distance of approximately 420m.

An alternative route will be via A4008 Stephenson Way, A411 (Beechen Grove/Exchange Road/Beechen Grove), A412 St Albans Road and A41 (North Western Avenue/North Western Avenue Colne Way).

2. that length of B556 St Albans Road, South Mimms from its northernmost junction with Blackhorse Lane south eastwards to its junction with the B556 Cecil Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 1420m.

An alternative route will be via B556 (St Albans Road/Ridge Hill/ Bell Lane/Harper Lane), A5183 (Watling Street/Cobden Hill/Watling Street/Elstree Hill North/High Street), A411 (Barnet Lane/Wood Street), A1000 (High Street/Hadley Green/Hadley Highstone/Great North Road) and B556 (Mutton Lane/Cecil Road).

3. that length of Solesbridge lane, Chorleywood from its junction with A404 Rickmansworth Road north eastwards to its junction with the access road leading to 'LoudwaterWood House', a distance of approximately 836m.

An alternative route will be viaA404 (Rickmansworth Road/ Chorleywood Road), A412 (Park Road/Scots Hill/Watford Road), Baldwins Lane, The Green, Sarratt Road and Solesbridge Lane.

4. that length of Rousebam Lane, Croxley Green from its junction with Little Green Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 365m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

5. that length of The Green, Croxley Green from its junction with the A412 Watford Road roundabout north eastwards for a distance of approximately 739m.

An alternative route will be via A412 Watford Road, Winton Drive, Baldwins Lane and The Green.

6. that length of North Hill, Chorleywood from its northernmost junction with A404 Chenies Road north eastwards, south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 285m.

An alternative route will be viaA404 Chenies Road.

7. that length of Radlett Road, Watford from its junction with the Colonial Way roundabout south westwards to its junction with Link Road, a distance of approximately 393m.

An alternative route will be via Radlett Road, Bushey Mill Lane, A412 St Albans Road,A41 (North Western Avenue/North Western Avenue Colne Way/Otterspool Way), B462 (Hartspring Lane/ Aldenham Road), Bushey Hall Road, Greatham Road, Park Avenue and Link Road or via Link Road, Park Avenue, Greatham Road, Bushey Hall Road, B462 (Aldenham Road/Hartspring Lane), A41 (North Western Avenue Colne Way/Otterspool Way/North Western Avenue Colne Way/North Western Avenue), A412 St Albans Road, Bushey Mill Lane and Radlett Road.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicular traffic is prohibited from being driven at a speed exceeding 20mph on the A41 northbound slip road leading onto the northbound carriageway of A41 Northwestern Avenue Colne Way, Watford from its junction with the A4008 Stephenson Way/M1 (junction 5) roundabout north westwards to its junction with the northbound carriageway of A41 North Western Avenue Colne Way, a distance of approximately 420 metres, when signs are in place.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 9 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN THE CLUMP, RICKMANSWORTH) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Clump, Rickmansworth from its junction with Valley Road north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with The Drive, a distance of approximately 355m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Valley Road and The Drive. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 9 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTWAY SITUATED ON THE SOUTH WEST SIDE OF A4178 CASSIO ROAD AND THE SOUTH EAST SIDE OF A412 RICKMANSWORTH ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footway situated on the south west side of A4178 Cassio Road and the south east side of A412 Rickmansworth Road, Watford from a point 190m north west of its junction with Upton Road north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 66m ("the Footway").

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north east side of A4178 Cassio Road, the footway situated on the south east side of A412 (Rickmansworth Road/St Albans Road), the cycle track/footpath situated beneath A412 St Albans Road, the footway situated on the north west side of A412 (St Albans Road/ Bickmansworth Road), the footpath situated beneath A412 St Albans Road and the footpath situated on the north west side of the A4178 slip road leading onto A412 Rickmansworth Road. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footway.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 9 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footway.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN THE SERVICE ROAD FRONTING NOS. 2-49 SHIRE LANE, CHORLEYWOOD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the service road fronting Nos.2-49 Shire Lane, Chorleywood from a point 77m north east of its junction with Chorleywood Public Footpath No.037 north eastwards for a distance of approximately 75m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via the service road fronting Nos.2-49 Shire Lane, Shire Lane & the service road fronting Nos.2-49 Shire Lane.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 10 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

[TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CHILTERN AVENUE AND THE RUTTS, BUSHEY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-

1. that length of Chiltern Avenue, Bushey from its junction with Cotswold Avenue south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Oundle Avenue, a distance of approximately 504m. An alternative route will be via Cotswold Avenue and Oundle Avenue.

2. that length of The Rutts, Bushey from its junction with A411 Elstree Road south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with A4140 High Road, a distance of approximately 450m.

An alternative route will be via A411 Elstree Road and A4140 High Road or via A4140 High Road and A411 (High Road/Elstree Road). The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 9 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

[TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GALLOWS HILL LANE, ABBOTS LANGLEY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Gallows Hill Lane, Abbots Langleyfrom Its junction with Hazelbury Avenue north eastwards for a distance of approximately 28m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Gallows Hill Lane, Gallows Hill, Hazelwood Lane and Gallows Hill Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 27 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

[TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE BUS/CYCLE LANE SITUATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF A412 ST ALBANS ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all public service vehicles and pedal cycles from using the bus/cycle lane situated on the north side of A412 St Albans Road, Watford from a point 185m south west of its junction with the A41 The Dome roundabout north eastwards for a distance of approximately 87m ("the Bus/Cycle Lane").

An alternative route will be via A412 St Albans Road. The definition of a 'public service vehicle' has the same meaning as in Section 1 of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981. The definition of a 'pedal cycle' means a cycle powered only by foot or hand.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Bus/Cycle Lane. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 27 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE SQUARE, WATFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Square, Watford from its southernmost junction with The Harebreaks south westwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 114m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via The Harebreaks and The Square. The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 26 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Coldharbour Lane, Bushey from its junction with Herkomer Road north eastwards to its junction with Chiltern Avenue, a distance of approximately 286m.

An alternative route will be via Herkomer Road, Melbourne Road, Palmer Avenue, Harcourt Road, Reddings Avenue and Coldharbour Lane.

2. that length of Herkomer Road, Bushey from its junction with Bridgewater Way south westwards and north westwards to its junction with Melbourne Road, a distance of approximately 40m.

An alternative route will be via Coldharbour Lane, Reddings Avenue, Harcourt Road, Palmer Avenue and Melbourne Road. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 26 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HARTSBOURNE ROAD, BUSHEY AND CALIFORNIA LANE, BUSHEY HEATH) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-

1. that length of Hartsbourne Road, Bushey from its junction with California Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 63m.

An alternative route will be via Hartsbourne Road, Hartsbourne Avenue, Glede Avenue, Finucane Rise, Beamish Drive, Warren Road, A414 High Road and Hartsboume Road.

2. that length of California Lane, Bushey Heath from a point in line with the northern boundary of 'Swede House' south eastwards to its junction with Hartsboume Road, a distance of approximately 92m.

An alternative route will be via California Lane, A4140 High Road and Hartsboume Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 30 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.
