Granby Street, Additional Restrictions - Temporary Traffic Regulation Order For Improvement Scheme Taking Place

THE LEICESTER (GRANBY STREET, ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS) (TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:
Suspend pedestrian zone on Charles Street between its junctions with Rutland Street and with Humberstone Gate from 12.00am on Thursday 5th September 2024 until 11.59pm on Thursday 28th November 2024.
Suspend pedestrian zone on Granby Street between its junctions with Northampton Street and with St Georges Way from 12.00am on Thursday 5th September 2024 until 11.59pm on Thursday 28th November 2024.
This order is necessary due to Granby Street improvement scheme taking place and to prevent the likelihood of danger to the public.
This Order will come into effect on the 5th of September 2024 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.
Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
