What is happening?

BOURNEMOUTH, CHRISTCHURCH AND POOLE COUNCIL

DEANSLEIGH ROAD, BOURNEMOUTH -INTERMITTENT ROAD CLOSURE TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.

WHAT:

  • Intermittent road closure to all vehicles and pedestrians whilst the emergency helicopter is landing and taking off#
  • Intermittent no parking - no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time whilst the emergency helicopter is landing and taking off

WHERE: Deansleigh Road, between the two roundabouts (in both directions) adjacent to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital helicopter landing site.

WHEN: Anticipated dates: 5th September 2024 to 4th March 2026

WHY: To maintain the safety of the public whilst the emergency helicopter is landing and taking off at the helicopter landing site.

Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State. The Council regrets any inconvenience to the public caused by this traffic order.
