What is happening?
CORNWALL COUNCIL
The County of Cornwall (Infra23-109) (Lanner) (Various Roads) (Restrictions on Waiting) (Amendment) Order 2024 & Notice of Proposed Pedestrian Crossings (Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Cornwall Council proposes to make the above Order to regulate traffic in Lanner. The effect is to introduce restrictions on waiting along the lengths of road described below. At the same time, in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Cornwall Council also proposes to establish a new signalised pedestrian crossing facility (puffin crossing) in Lanner in order to improve pedestrian safety. Details of its approximate location are given below.
In support of the above works, it is intended that traffic calming measures (buildouts) will be introduced under the provisions of Sections 90G-I of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of which will be to reduce vehicle speeds and improve safety along the lengths of road described below.
