What is happening?

THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH (THE WOOLWELL TO THE GEORGE SCHEME) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that Plymouth City Council acting under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), have made an Order the effect of which is:
1. To prohibit the driving of vehicles in: Tavistock Road - at a speed exceeding 30mph between The George Junction and New Road 11/9/24-11/3/26, 24hrs
Tavistock Road - no right-hand turn onto Woolwell Road (except for buses/emergency services) 11/9/24- 30/9/25, 24hrs
Woolwell Road - Westbound for its entirety 11/9/24 - 20/12/24, 24hrs
Woolwell Crescent - from the Tesco fuel station exit to the junction of Tavistock Road 4/12/24 - 30/9/24, 24hrs
Tavistock Road - from the junction of Woolwell Crescent to the junction of Woolwell Road 21/7/25 - 6/9/25, 19:00 - 6:30
The prohibition of driving will be in operation on the days and during the hours that the appropriate traffic signs are displayed. The Order shall come into force on 11th September 2024 and shall continue in force for a maximum of 18 months.
It is anticipated that The Woolwell to The George Scheme works will commence on the 11th September 2024 until 11th March 2026 timings and dates as above (subject to change).
