Carlisle, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Utility Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (C1025 BEWCASTLE AND ROBERT STREET, CARLISLE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road: C1025 Bewcastle, from a point approx. 560m south west of its junction with the U1036, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 230m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C1025, U1035, U1034, U1032 and the U1036.
Duration: From 27 August 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref TTROC/11594)
Robert Street, Carlisle, from its junction with Water Street to its junction with South John Street.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of Robert Street, Crown Street, Currock Street and Water Street.
Duration: From 2 September 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11604)
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times

The Order will come into operation on 27 August 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
