HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CHURCH ROAD AND DUNCOMBE ROAD, HERTFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-
1. that length of Church Road, Hertford from its junction with Duncombe Road westwards for a distance of approximately 51m.
An alternative route will be via Duncombe Road, Westfield Road, The Avenue and Church Road.
2. that length of Duncombe Road, Hertford from a point 50m south west of its junction with Church Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 100m.
An alternative route will be via Duncombe Road, Farquhar Street, Fanshawe Street, Elton Road, Church Road, The Avenue, Westfield Road and Duncombe Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 9 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PEST HOUSE LANE, HIGH CROSS AND ROWNEY LANE, DANE END) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-
1. that length of Pest House Lane, High Cross from its junction with Standon Green End south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Ermine Street, a distance of approximately 1244m.
An alternative route will be via Standon Green End and Ermine Street.
2. that length of Rowney Lane, Dane End from its junction with Whitehill south westwards to its junction with Sacombe Byway Open to All Traffic No.001 (Lowgate Lane), a distance of approximately 966m.
An alternative route will be via Potters Green, Standon Green End, Ermine Street, High Road, Marshalls Lane and Rowney Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 12 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B156 GOFFS LANE, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B156 Goffs Lane, Cheshunt from its junction with the B198 Lieutenant Ellis Way roundabout north eastwards to its junction with Claremont, a distance of approximately 151m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via B156 (Goffs Lane/Churchgate Road/Flamstead End Road/ Brookfield Lane West/Halfhide Lane), A1170 Great Cambridge Road, A10 (Turnford Link Road/unnamed road/Hoddesdon Link Road), A1170 Amwell Hill, B1197 (Hertford Road/ London Road), A414 (London Road/Gascoyne Way), B158 (Hale Road/Pegs Lane/ Bullocks Lane/Horns Mill Road/Lower Hatfield Road/unnamed road/Low Road/Essendon Hill/High Road/Cum Cum Hill/Kentish Lane), A1000 Great North Road, B157 (Shepherds Way/The Ridgeway/East Ridgeway/Plough Hill) and B156 (Cuffley Hill/Goffs Lane).
The Order is needed because telecom works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 9 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS AND CYCLE TRACK IN WALTHAM CROSS DURING THE ‘EASTERN ELECTRICS MUSIC FESTIVAL’) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and cycle track (“the Cycle Track”) will be:-
1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of Roads:-
a) that length of A121 (Eleanor Cross Road/Station Road), Waltham Cross from its junction with the A121 Monarchs Way/Queens Road roundabout south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with A121 Highbridge Street, a distance of approximately 1222m.
An alternative route will be via A1010 (Monarchs Way/High Street/Hertford Road), A110 (Nags Head Road/Lea Valley Road), A112 Sewardstone Road and A121 (Meridian Way/ Highbridge Street).
b) that length of Trust Road, Waltham Cross from its junction with York Road south eastwards and southwards to its junction with Station Approach, a distance of approximately 133m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles whilst the event takes place. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the event.
c) that length of Station Approach, Waltham Cross from its junctions with A121 Eleanor Cross Road southwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and northwards to its junction with Trust Road, a distance of approximately 171m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles whilst the event takes place. 
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the event.
d) that length of Lea Road, Waltham Cross from its junction with A121 Station Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 422m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles whilst the event takes place. 
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the event.
e) that length of Longcroft Drive, Waltham Cross from its junction with A121 Station Road south eastwards, south westwards, north westwards, south westwards and north westwards to its junction with A121 Eleanor Cross Road, a distance of approximately 819m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles whilst the event takes place. 
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the event.
f) that length of Queens Drive, Waltham Cross from its junction with A121 Station Road south eastwards to its junction with Berwick Close, a distance of approximately 195m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles whilst the event takes place. 
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the event.

2. To prohibit all pedal cycles from using the cycle track situated on the north side of A121 (Eleanor Cross Road/Station Road), Waltham Cross from its junction with York Road south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Cheshunt Public Footpath No.055, a distance of approximately 1182m.
Pedal Cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footway.

3. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 20mph on that length of A121 (Eleanor Cross Road/Station Road), Waltham Cross from its junction with the A121 Monarchs Way/Queens Road roundabout south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with A121 Highbridge Street, a distance of approximately 1222m, when signs are in place.

4. To prohibit all vehicles from waiting, loading and unloading at any time on both sides of the following lengths of Roads for the duration of the event:-
a) that length of Longcroft Drive, Waltham Cross from its junction with A121 Station Road south eastwards, south westwards, north westwards, south westwards and north westwards to its junction with A121 Eleanor Cross Road, a distance of approximately 819m.
b) that length of Queens Drive, Waltham Cross from its junction with A121 Station Road south eastwards to its junction with Berwick Close, a distance of approximately 195m.

5. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from Lea Road into A121 Station Road, Waltham Cross for the duration of the event.
An alternative route will be via A121 (Station Road/Eleanor Cross Road), A1010 (Monarchs Way/High Street/Hertford Road), A1055 Mollison Avenue, A110 Lea Valley Road, A112 Sewardstone Road and A121 (Meridian Way/Station Road).
6. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from Queens Drive into A121 Station Road, Waltham Cross for the duration of the event.
An alternative route will be via A121 (Station Road/Eleanor Cross Road), A1010 (Monarchs Way/High Street/Hertford Road), A1055 Mollison Avenue, A110 Lea Valley Road, A112 Sewardstone Road and A121 (Meridian Way/Station Road).

7. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from the westbound carriageway of A121 Station Road into the access road leading to ‘Lea Valley White Water Centre’, Waltham Cross for the duration of the event.
An alternative route will be via A121 (Station Road/Eleanor Cross Road), the A121 Monarchs Way/Queens Road roundabout and A121 (Eleanor Cross Road/Station Road).

8. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a left turn manoeuvre from Bryanstone Road into A121 Eleanor Cross Road, Waltham Cross for the duration of the event.
An alternative route will be via A121 Eleanor Cross Road, A1010 (Monarchs Way/High Street/Hertford Road), A1055 Mollison Avenue, A110 Lea Valley Road, A112 Sewardstone Road and A121 (Meridian Way/Station Road/Eleanor Cross Road).

9. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a left turn manoeuvre from Eleanor Way into A121 Eleanor Cross Road, Waltham Cross for the duration of the event.
An alternative route will be via A121 Eleanor Cross Road, A1010 (Monarchs Way/High Street/Hertford Road), A1055 Mollison Avenue, A110 Lea Valley Road, A112 Sewardstone Road and A121 (Meridian Way/Station Road/Eleanor Cross Road).
The Order is needed to ensure public safety and prevent traffic congestion for the duration of ‘Eastern Electrics Music Festival’.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 24 August 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A414 HERTINGFORDBURY ROAD, HERTFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A414 Hertingfordbury Road, Hertford from its junction with the Campfield Road roundabout north eastwards to its junction with the A119 Cross Way roundabout, a distance of approximately 376m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via A414 (Hertingfordbury Road/Cole Green Bypass/Hatfield 
Road/Hertford Road/Mount Pleasant Lane/Great North Road), the A1(M), A602 (Broadhall Way/Hooks Cross/Watton at Stone Bypass/Ware Road/Tonwell Bypass/Westmill Road), A10 (unnamed road) and A414 (Rush Green Link/London Road/Gascoyne Way/ Hertingfordbury Road) or via A414 (Hertingfordbury Road/Gascoyne Way/London Road/Rush Green Link), A10 (unnamed road), A602 (Westmill Road/Tonwell Bypass/Ware Road/Watton at Stone Bypass/Hooks Cross/Broadhall Way), the A1(M) and A414 (Great North Road/Hertford Road/Hatfield Road/Cole Green Bypass/Hertingfordbury Road) or via A414 (Hertingfordbury Road/Cole Green Bypass/Hatfield Road/Hertford Road), A1000 (Hertford Road/Chequers/ Broadwater Road/Bessemer Road/Mundells/Bessemer Road/Hertford Road/Welwyn Bypass Road), B197 (Great North Road/Mardley Hill/London Road/Stevenage Road/London Road/Monkswood Way), A602 (Broadhall Way/Hooks Cross/Watton at Stone Bypass/Ware Road/Tonwell Bypass/Westmill Road), A10 (unnamed road) and A414 (Rush Green Link/ London Road/Gascoyne Way/ Hertingfordbury Road).
The Order is needed because bridge inspection works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 27 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN GREAT AMWELL, HERTFORD AND PUCKERIDGE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1. that length of St Johns Lane, Great Amwell from its junction with Great Amwell Public Footpath No.035 north westwards for a distance of approximately 60m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. 
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. that length of Greencoates/Churchfields/The Gulphs, Hertford from its junction with Gwynns Walk south westwards, north westwards, north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 372m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

3. that length of High Street, Puckeridge from its junction with Mentley Lane East south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Station Road, a distance of approximately 300m.
An alternative route will be via Buntingford Road, B1368 Buntingford Road, A10 Puckeridge Bypass, A120 (Standon Hill/Kents Lane) and Station Road.

4. that length of Lower Road, Great Amwell from its junction with A1170 Amwell Hill north eastwards, south eastwards and southwards to its junction with Cautherly Lane, a distance of approximately 700m.
An alternative route will be via A1170 (Amwell Hill/Pepper Hill), B181 Station Road and Amwell Lane.

5. that length of Sacombe Road, Hertford from its junction with Vicarage Lane south eastwards to its junction with The Orchard, a distance of approximately 660m.
An alternative route will be via Sacombe Road, Stony Hills, C16 (unnamed road), A602 Tonwell Bypass, B158 Wadesmill Road and Sacombe Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 26 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE SERVICE ROAD FRONTING NOS. 239-261 HIGH STREET, WALTHAM CROSS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the service road fronting Nos.239-261 High Street, Waltham Cross from its junction with Hedworth Avenue north westwards for a distance of approximately 90m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Hedworth Avenue, B176 High Street and the service road fronting Nos.239-261 High Street.
The Order is needed because gas connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 27 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of C14 (unnamed road)/Moor Green Road, Ardeley from a point in line with the southern boundary of ‘Chapel Farm’ north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 2085m (“the length of Roads”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via C14 (unnamed road), Mentley Lane, C16 Great Munden, Munden Road, Whempstead Lane, Whempstead Road, Town Lane, Church Green, Walkern Road, Benington Road, High Street, B1037 (High Street/White Hill), C14 (unnamed road) and Moor Green Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B1004 WARE ROAD, WARESIDE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B1004 Ware Road, Wareside from a point 80 metres north east of its junction with Wareside Restricted Byway No.025 north eastwards for a distance of approximately 160m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via B1004 (Ware Road/Widbury Hill/Star Street), A1170 (Bridge Foot/Viaduct Road/London Road/Amwell Hill/Pepper Hill), B181 (Station Road/High Street/ Roydon Road), B180 (Hunsdon Road/Stanstead Road/High Street/Widford Road/ Hunsdon Road) and B1004 Ware Road.
The Order is needed because the removal of trees is proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN CHURCHGATE, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Churchgate, Cheshunt from its junction with B156 Goffs Lane south eastwards to its junction with Dewhurst Road, a distance of approximately 117m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via B156 Goffs Lane, B198 Lieutenant Ellis Way, A10 Great Cambridge, College Road and Churchgate.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 26 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GREAT AMWELL PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.035) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using Great Amwell Public Footpath No.035 from its junction with St Johns Lane north eastwards to its junction with Great Amwell Public Footpath No.034, a distance of approximately 12m (“the Public Footpath”).
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north side of St Johns Lane and Great Amwell Public Footpath No.034.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Public Footpath.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 26 August 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Public Footpath.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (BULLFIELDS AND BARNARD ROAD, SAWBRIDGEWORTH) (RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (1984 Act) to introduce new waiting restrictions in parts of Sawbridgeworth as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order will come into effect on Friday 20 September 2024.
Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order may be viewed from 22 August 2024 to 3 October 2024 during office hours at Main Reception, County Hall, Hertford or online at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting East Herts and looking at Ref: EH00524.
