Various Roads - Temporary Closure For Jdt Safe Access To Replace A Gas Main

What is happening?

Temporary Closure Of Various Roads, Sutton Waldron
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffc Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Various Roads, Sutton Waldron as listed: [i] The Street between A350 and Paddock House; [ii] Church Lane in its entirety; [iii] Napiers Way in its entirety. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 16th September 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 27th September 2024. 
Access will be maintained and only one closure will be in place at a time.
This Order will enable Wessex Internet, safe access to carry out fbre installation works.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffc to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Closure Of Various Roads, Sherborne
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffc Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Various Roads, Sherborne as listed: [i] Oborne Road, Sherborne from junction with Castleton Road to junction with Castle Town Way; [ii] Castle Town Way, Sherborne from junction with Oborne Road to a point approximately 10 metres to the north of Castle Road. Access will be maintained for residents living within the closed stretch of road. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 2nd September 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 1st November 2024
This Order will enable JDT safe access to replace a gas main.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffc to travel around the closed section.

All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Various Roads, Iwerne Minster as listed: [i] Post Offce Road in its entirety; [ii] The Chalk between Post Offce Road and Watery Lane [iii] Watery Lane in its entirety. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 2nd September 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 13th September 2024. Access will be maintained and only one closure will be in place at a time.

Urgent Temporary Closure Of C13 Boyne’s Lane, Iwerne Minster
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffc Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along C13 Boyne’s Lane, Iwerne
Minster between Boyne’s Lane to Furzey Down Farm, Iwerne Minster and Smugglers Lane, Stourpaine, a distance of approximately 2550 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation between 09:30 - 15:30 on 9th September 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 20th September 2024.
This Order will enable Ranston Farms, safe access to carry out urgent works to fell ash dieback trees.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffc to travel around the closed sections.
