What is happening?

DERBY CITY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS

Derby City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF LEFT TURN ORDER ON DERBY ROAD, DERBY

WHEN: 28 August 2024 to 27 September 2024

WHERE: Derby Road, suspension of left turn out of Asda

REASON: Construction work

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Derby Road – Circumnavigate Spondon Roundabout – Derby Road

TEMPORARY BUS LANE SUSPENSION ORDER TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF NO ENTRY ORDER ON CHEQUERS ROAD, DERBY

WHEN: 02 September 2024 to 22 September 2024 (Daily: 08:00 to 17:30)

WHERE: Chequers Road, from Wyvernside/Chequers Road Roundabout to CostCo delivery entrance – a distance of approximately 340 metres

REASON: Access to The Meadows Industrial Estate, to facilitate carriageway resurfacing of The Pentagon (Derby City Council)

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON MORLEY ROAD, DERBY

WHEN: 30 August 2024 to 20 September 2024 Closure to be for 2 days only in date range shown (08:00 to 18:00 only) Exact dates shown on Site Information Boards

WHERE: Morley Road, from its junction with Morley Road/Oakwood Drive/Acorn Way Roundabout to its junction with Lime Lane

REASON: Highway works (Derby City Council)

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Morley Road – Oakwood Drive – Bishops Drive – Hill Top – Lime Lane and the same in the opposite direction

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON THE PENTAGON, DERBY

WHEN: 02 September 2024 to 22 September 2024 (Daily: 20:00 to 05:30 Only)

WHERE: The Pentagon – works to be completed in 2 Phases A52 Eastgate Flyover to remain open at all times

REASON: Carriageway resurfacing (Derby City Council) ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Phase 1 (Northern Half): From A61 Sir Frank Whittle Road (Southbound): To City Centre: A61 Sir Frank Whittle Road – A608 Mansfield Road – Bishops Drive – Oakwood Drive – Acorn Way – Derby Road – Spondon Roundabout – A52 Westbound And From A61 Alfreton Road (Southbound): To City Centre: A61 Alfreton Road – Mansfield Road And From Nottingham Road (Westbound): To City Centre: Nottingham Road – Derby Road – Spondon Roundabout – A52 Westbound Phase 2 (Southern Half): A61 Sir Frank Whittle Road (Southbound): To City Centre: A61 Sir Frank Whittle Road – The Pentagon – A52 Eastbound – Wyvern Way Off – Slip – Wyvern Way – Derwent Parade – Pride Parkway – Station Approach – St Alkmunds Way – Holmes Bridge And From Nottingham Road (Westbound): To City Centre: Nottingham Road – The Pentagon – A52 Eastbound – Wyvern Way Off – Slip – Wyvern Way – Derwent Parade – Pride Parkway – Station Approach – St Alkmunds Way – Holmes Bridge To A61 Sir Frank Whittle Road (Northbound): Nottingham Road – Derby Road – Acorn Way – Oakwood Drive – Bishops Drive – A608 Mansfield Road – A61 Sir Frank Whittle Road And From Raynesway: To A61 Sir Frank Whittle Road: Acorn Way – Oakwood Drive – Bishops Drive – A608 Mansfield Road – A61 Sir Frank Whittle Road Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road.
