Kings Mill Lane (D355) Redhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 21 August 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Kings Mill Lane (D355) Redhill which extends from the northwestern property boundary line of “Shocks Green Cottage” to the northwestern property boundary line of “The Rookery”.

Alternative Route – Kings Mill Lane (D355), Kings Cross Lane (D381), Crab Hill Lane (D381), Moats Lane (D381), Prince of Wales Road (C67), Green Lane (C65), Axes Lane (C65), Masons Bridge Road (D355) and Kings Mill Lane (D355) or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 August 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

South Road (D1222) Reigate
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 21 August 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of South Road (D1222) Reigate which extends from its junction with Lesbourne Road (D1219) to its junction with West Road (B2034).

Alternative Route – Lesbourne Road (D1219), Lesbourne Road (B2034), Effingham Road (D1220), Parkgate Road (D1220) and South Road (D1222).

This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 4:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 28 August 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route including emergency vehicles.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

On 21 August 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order, pursuant to Sections 16A and 16B of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport, which will take effect on 15 September 2024 for one day only, the effect of which will be to prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding along the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice or any parts thereof. Such restriction shall also apply in relation to the riding, leading, or driving of horses or any other animals.

The Order is required to facilitate the holding on-road cycling event namely the “Skyline London to Brighton Bike Ride”.

The restrictions specified above will not apply to such vehicles being used in connection with the said event (including those used for traffic management purposes), or to anything done on the direction of, or with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a traffic marshal, or any sign placed by Surrey police. Emergency access will be maintained for the police, fire brigade and ambulance services and for organisations responsible for dealing with the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, water, or electronic communications, to premises in the area and for the removal of any obstruction to traffic.

All parking places in the lengths of road specified in the Schedule below will be suspended. Vehicular access for residents will be unaffected. The prohibitions herein will only be operative while the relevant traffic signs are displayed and it is anticipated that the temporary restrictions will take effect from 5.30am until 2:30pm, though roads will re-open when it is safe and practical to do so.

The Council are also satisfied, in accordance with subsection (3) of Section 16A of the Act that the even to which the Order relates cannot be held otherwise than on a road. Diversion routes will be signed.

Church Lane (C82) Oxted
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 21 August 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Church Lane (C82) Oxted as extends from its junction with the roundabout with (C82) Station Road West and (D439) East Hill Road to its junction with (D438) Wheeler Avenue.

Alternative Route: East Hill Road, (A25) West Hill, and Church Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 02 September 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists, and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Dean Lane (C219) Merstham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Dean Lane (C219) Merstham as extends from its junction with (A23) London Road North to its junction with (D1155) Netherne Lane.

Alternative Route: Dean Lane, (B2031) Alderstead Lane, (B2031) Shepherds Hill, and (A23) London Road North, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate telecom utility and maintenance works for, or on behalf of Vodaphone.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 19 September 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists, and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times, as will emergency service vehicles, via road plates if required. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for residents and businesses, and will be required to use the signed diversion route.

The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2) (b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Park Road (C134) Banstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Park Road (C134) Banstead as extends from its junction with (X68461) Mint Road to its junction with (X25296) Soloms Court Road.

Alternative Route: Park Road, (B2219) Holly Lane, (B2219) Bolters Lane, (B2217) High Street, and Park Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate new water mains connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 16 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists, and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

Bones Lane (C66) Newchapel
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Bones Lane (C66) Newchapel as extends from its junction with (D373) Brickhouse Lane to its junction with (D371) East Park Lane.

Alternative Route: Bones Lane, (B2028) West Park Road, (B2037) Effingham Road, Redehall Road, Plough Road, Smallfield Road, Croydon Barn Lane, and Bones Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate installation of new electrical connection works for, or on behalf of UKPN.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 16 September 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Stafford Road (D1403) Caterham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Stafford Road (D1403) Caterham as extends from its junction with (B2030) Station Avenue and (B2030) Church Hill to its junction with (D1403) Stafford Close.

Alternative Route: Stafford Road, (A22) Waspes Lodge Roundabout, (B2208) Croydon Road, (B2208) The Square, and (B2030) Station Avenue, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 16 September 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists, and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access is affected by this closure.

Titsey Road (B269) Limpsfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Titsey Road (B269) Limpsfield as extends from its junction with (X45027) Sandy Lane to its junction with (C81) Bluehouse Lane, and (B269) High Street.

Alternative Route: (B269) Titsey Road, (B269) Titsey Hill, (B2024) Clarks Lane, (B2024) Croydon Road, (A25) High Street, (A25) Westerham Road, and (B269) High Street, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate installation of overhead cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 September 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

C89 Crawley Down Road, Felbridge
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of C89 Crawley Down Road, Felbridge that extends from its junction with A264 Copthorne Road, to the north-western property boundary of “No.7 Crawley Down Road”.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Antler Homes Plc to carry out civil engineering and/or highway improvement and/or associated remedial works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9am and 5pm, within 3 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 19 September 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists and equestrians, will be maintained at all times.

Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained via the vehicular diversion route:- Copthorne Road, Snow Hill, the Dukes Head Roundabout, Turners Hill Road, Vicarage Road, Hophurst Lane, Hophurst Hill, Felbridge Road and Crawley Down Road.

D334 Lonesome Lane, Reigate
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:-

1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D334 Lonesome Lane, Reigate that extends from its junction with D335 Lodge Lane, to its junction with A217 Dovers Green Road. 2. Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in the Borough of Reigate and Banstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.5) 2023” insofar as affects the length of D334 Lonesome Lane, Reigate described above.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Sutton and East Surrey Water to carry out water mains connection and/or maintenance works in D334 Lonesome Lane, Reigate outside “No.65 Lonesome Lane”.

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within 5 days of the 9 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 09 September 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Access to affected residences and businesses will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- Lonesome Lane, Meath Green Lane, Lee Street, Mill Lane, Reigate Road, Dovers Green Road and Lonesome Lane.

Harriotts Lane (D2584) Ashtead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Harriotts Lane (D2584) Ashtead which extends from the southeastern property boundary line of “31 Harriotts Lane” to the northeastern property boundary line of “35 Harriotts Lane”.

Alternative Route – Harriotts Lane (D2584), Ottways Lane (D2575), West Farm Avenue (D2649), Barnett Wood Lane (D2507) and Harriotts Lane (D2584) or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow UKPN to carry out electrical work, which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 09 September 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

C70 White Hill Lane, Bletchingley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of C70 White Hill Lane, Bletchingley that extends from the southern side of its junction with The Conduit, southwards for a distance of 79m. 2. Suspend “The Surrey County Council White Hill Lane (C70), Bletchingley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Octavius Infrastructure to carry out joint investigations and/or maintenance and/or replacement works to the “White Hill Lane Bridge”.

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 6am, within 10 days of the 11 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 September 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

No access to any property will be affected however access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists and equestrians, will be maintained at all times.

Vehicular diversion route:- Brewer Street, Sandy Lane, Pendell Road, Merstham Road, Warwick World Road, Spring Bottom Lane and White Hill Lane.

Various Roads in Banstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This Order is required to enable SGN to facilitate gas main replacement works, which is anticipated to be carried out between 8am and 5pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 9 September 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain access for emergency service vehicles and will be required to follow the diversion route.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Schedule

1. D1066 Wilmot Way, Banstead – its entire length. Works are anticipated to be completed between 9 September 2024 and 21 October 2024.

Alternative Route – Lambert Road, Winkworth Road, Bolters Lane, High Street and Wilmot Way;

2. D1067 Lambert Road, Banstead – that length between its junction with Wilmot Way and its junction with The Oval. Works are anticipated to be completed between 9 September 2024 and 21 October 2024.

Alternative Route – Lambert Road, Salisbury Road and Winkworth Road;

3. B2219 Garratts Lane, Banstead – its entire length. Works are anticipated to be completed between 4 November 2024 and 23 December 2024.

Alternative Route – Brighton Road, Winkworth Road, Bolters Lane and Garratts Lane;

4. D1015 North Acre, Banstead – between its junction with Garratts Lane and a point 30m north of its junction with Garratts Lane. Works are anticipated to be completed between 4 November 2024 and 23 December 2024.

There is no alternative route for this closure as North Acre is a cul-de-sac;

5. D1015 Garrard Road, Banstead – its entire length. Works are anticipated to be completed between 7 October 2024 and 23 December 2024.

Alternative Route – Monks Road, Colcokes Road and Garratts Lane;

6. D1015 Monks Road, Banstead – its entire length. Works are an ticipated to be completed between 7 October 2024 and 23 December 2024.

Alternative Route – Colcokes Road, Garratts Lane and Garrard Road;

7. D1015 Colcokes Road, Banstead – its entire length. Works are anticipated to be completed between 14 October 2024 and 23 December 2024.

Alternative Route – Monks Road and Garrard Road;

8. D1016 Lyme Regis Road, Banstead – between its junction with Shrubland Road and the property boundary line between Nos. 46 and 48 Lyme Regis Road. Works are anticipated to be completed between 18 November 2024 and 23 December 2024.

Alternative Route 1 – Shrubland Road, Pound Road, Chipstead Road and Brighton Road; Alternative Route 2 – Shrubland Road, Ferndale Road and Brighton Road;

9. D1016 Horsecroft, Banstead – its entire length. Works are anticipated to be completed between 18 November 2024 and 23 December 2024.

There is no alternative route for this closure as Horsecroft is a cul-de-sac;

10. D1016 Shrubland Road, Banstead – between its junction with Pound Road and its junction with Lyme Regis Road. Works are anticipated to be completed between 18 November 2024 and 23 December 2024.

Alternative Route – Pound Road, Chipstead Road, Brighton Road and Ferndale Road;

11. D1017 Pound Road, Banstead – its entire length. Works are anticipated to be completed between 2 December 2024 and 23 December 2024.

Alternative Route – Thornfield Road and Chipstead Road;

12. D1017 Stirling Close, Banstead – its entire length. Works are anticipated to be completed between 2 December 2024 and 23 December 2024.

There is no alternative route for this closure as Stirling Close is a cul-de-sac;

13. D1017 Gale Crescent, Banstead – its entire length. Works are anticipated to be completed between 16 December 2024 and 7 February 2025.

There is no alternative route for this closure as Gale Crescent is a cul-de-sac;

14. D1017 Thornfield Road, Banstead – its entire length. Works are anticipated to be completed between 16 December 2024 and 7 February 2025.

Alternative Route – Chipstead Road, Brighton Road, Garratts Lane and Shrubland Road;

15. D1017 Chalk Pit Road, Banstead – its entire length. Works are anticipated to be completed between 16 December 2024 and 7 February 2025.

There is no alternative route for this closure as Chalk Pit Road is a cul-de-sac;
