What is happening?

BURY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1)

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY

(FACTORY STREET, RAMSBOTTOM)

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:-

Factory Street, Ramsbottom - from its junction with Ramsbottom Lane to the Adlington Retirement Living - The Cottons entrance, a distance of 45 metres in a southerly direction.

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate gas utility works.

The alternative route will be via Ramsbottom Lane, Bridge Street & Crow Lane & vice-versa.

The proposed Order will come into operation on Monday 02 September 2024 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 12 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is 3 weeks. Dated 22 August 2024, Council Solicitor

(WELL LANE, SELBY AVENUE, WHTTEFIELD)

TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:-

1) Well Lane, Whitefield- Full length

2) Selby Avenue, Whitefield - between Bury New Road & Abingdon Avenue.

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works.

Alternative routes:-

1) via Lily Hill Street, West Avenue & Bury New Road & vice-versa.

2) via Malton Avenue, Rufford Drive & Bury New Road & vice-versa.

The proposed Order will come into operation on Monday 02 September 2024 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 12 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is 5 weeks. Dated 22 August 2024, Council Solicitor

(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough Council proposes to make the above named Order under sections 1, 2, 3 & 4 and Part m of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers.

The effect of the Order will be the introduction of No Waiting at Any Time restrictions.

Introduction of No Waiting at any Time - Park View Court: Westside, from the projected southerly kerbline of St Anns Road for a distance of 67 metres in a southerly direction.

A copy of the draft Order (including the exemptions contained within it) with plans showing the roads and areas affected, and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order, can be requested via the email Traffic@bury.gov.uk, or the postal address below, quoting reference TM2-24-548.

(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough Council proposes to make the above named Order under sections 1, 2, 3 & 4 and Part m of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers.

The effect of the Order will be the introduction of No Waiting at Any Time restrictions.

Introduction of No Waiting at any Time - Browns Road: Southside, from the projected southerly westside kerb line of Radcliffe Moor Road in a westerly direction to the projected northerly kerb line of Bradley Fold Road.

Northside, from the projected southerly westside kerb line of Radcliffe Moor Road, for a distance of 46 metres in a westerly direction.

Northside, from the projected easterly kerb line of the greenspace car park entrance for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction.

Northside, from a point 76 metres east of the projected easterly kerb line of the greenspace car park entrance to a point 64 metres from the projected southerly westside kerb line of Radcliffe Moor Road.

Northside, from the projected westerly kerb line of the greenspace car park entrance to a point 18 metres south of the projected southerly kerb line of Starmount Close.

Radcliffe Moor Road: Westside, from the projected northerly kerb line of Browns Road for a distance of 70 metres in a northerly direction.
