What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(PEDLEY LANE, CLIFTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Pedley Lane, Clifton outside number 17.
This temporary closure is required to enable stop tap replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 4 to 6 September 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Grange Street, Shefford Road, Spring Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 4 September 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(HAVELOCK ROAD, BIGGLESWADE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Havelock Road, Biggleswade outside number 1a.
This temporary closure is required to enable water connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 27 to 29 August 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Lawrence Road, Lindsell Crescent and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 27 August 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, VARIOUS PARISHES)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the following lengths of road in Central Bedfordshire.
These temporary closures are required to enable various carriageway repair, patching, surface dressing, lining, gully and drainage works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
The Order will come into operation on 27 August 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
It is expected that the first works will take place at some point between 27 August 2024 and 14 October 2024. Specific dates and times will be signed locally. The roads will be closed at all times during this period.
The effect of the Order will allow the Council to close to vehicular traffic on the following lengths of road:
i. Sutton Road, Eyeworth opposite number 6. The alternative route for this closure is via Eyeworth Road, B1042, Sutton Road and vice versa.
ii. Mulberry Close, Biggleswade between Ash Grove and end of cul-de-sac at Hazel Walk, Beech Avenue, Biggleswade between numbers 59 and 57 and Sycamore Close, Biggleswade at bellmouth junction. The alternative route for this closure is via Beech Avenue, Wilsheres Road, Ash Road and vice versa. No roads to be closed at the same time.
iii. Mills Walk, Sandy. There is no alternative route for this closure.
iv. Western Way, Sandy. There is no alternative route for this closure.
v. Station Road, Tempsford between number 160 and the railway. There is no alternative route for this closure.
vi. Bury Road, Ashdown Road, Southfields and Maple Drive, Shefford. There are no alternative routes for these closures.
vii. High Street, Meppershall between Crackle Hill Road and Hilltop View. The alternative route for this closure is via High Street, Campton Road, Greenway, A507, Shefford Road and vice versa.
viii. Park Lane, Henlow. The alternative route for this closure is via B659, Church Road and vice versa.
ix. Sta tion Road, Stondon. The alternative route for this closure is via Station Road, A600, Shefford Road, High Street, Meppershall Road, Upton End Road, Marquis Hill, Shillington Road and vice versa.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Langford Road, Biggleswade outside Siemens Depot.
This temporary closure is required to enable water connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 27 to 29 August 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via B659, Teal Road, A6001, B658, A600, A507, B659 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 27 August 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Pedley Lane, Clifton outside numbers 1 to 3.
This temporary closure is required to enable electrical link box works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 9 to 12 September 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Grange Street, Shefford Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 9 September 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(ARLESEY: PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO 3)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the length of public Footpath No 3, Arlesey which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 1898 3643 for approximately 240 metres in a generally easterly direction to OS GR TL 1922 3640
This temporary closure is required to allow construction works in relation to Planning Application reference CB/22/04720/FULL to take place. The closure is expected to be in place from 13th September 2024 to 12th March 2025 or until the works have been completed.
There are no alternative routes available along public rights of way, however the developer will provide and sign an alternative route within their land.

If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.
