What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

GRAVESHAM AREA

A226 Lord Street, Gravesend, DA12 9SW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A226 Lord Street, Gravesend, on or after 6th September 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with Windmill Street.

The alternative route is via Parrock Street, Parrock Road, B261 Old Road East, Windmill Street, Woodville Place, A226 Wrotham Road, Railway Place, Windmill Street.

 

VARIOUS ROADS, GRAVESHAM (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of gas mains replacement by SGN, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic as per the below.

Singlewell Road - Cross Lane to King’s Drive
16/09/24 - 25/11/24
Diversion is via Hever Court Road, Valley Drive, Whitehill Lane, Whitehill Road, B261 Old Road East and vice versa.

Ridgeway Avenue – Junction with Singlewell Road
16/09/24 - 30/09/24
Diversion is via Central Avenue, Lingfield Road and vice versa.

The Fairway – Junction with Singlewell Road
23/09/24 - 14/10/24
Diversion is via A227 Wrotham Road, Cross Lane West and vice versa. 

Dennis Road – Junction with Singlewell Road
23/09/24 - 14/10/24
Diversion is via A227 Wrotham Road, Cross Lane West and vice versa. 

Lingfield Road – Junction with Singlewell Road
30/09/24 - 21/10/24
Diversion is via Central Avenue, Cross Lane East and vice versa.

Hillingdon Road – Junction with Singlewell Road
30/09/24 - 21/10/24
Diversion is via A227 Wrotham Road, Cross Lane West and vice versa.

Alfred Road – Junction with Singlewell Road
30/09/24 - 21/10/24
Diversion is via Cross Lane West and vice versa.

Ferndale Road – Junction with Singlewell Road
07/10/24 - 28/10/24
Diversion is via Central Avenue, Cross Lane East and vice versa.

Windsor Road – Between Singlewell Road and 77
22/10/24 – 11/11/24
Diversion is via Kings Drive, Singlewell Road and vice versa.
