Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA
A20 Ashford Road, Newington (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A20 Ashford Road, Newington, on or after 5th September 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Frogholt and The Street, between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via A20 Ashford Road, A20 Sandling Road, A20 Ashford Road, B2068 Stanford Intersection, A20 Ashford Road, A261 Hythe Road, A261 London Road, A259 Military Road, A259 Red Lion Square, A259 Rampart Road, A259 Prospect Road, A259 East Street, A259 Seabrook Road, A259 Sandgate Esplanade, A259 Sandgate High Street, A259 Sandgate Hill, A259 Sandgate Road, A259 Earls Avenue, A259 Shorncliffe Road, A259 Castle Hill Avenue, A259 Cheriton Road, A2034 Cheriton Road, B2064 Cheriton Road, B2064 Cheriton High Street, B2064 Cheriton Approach and A20 Ashford Road.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A20 Ashford Road, B2064 Cheriton Approach, B2064 Cheriton High Street, B2064 Cheriton Road, A2034 Cheriton Road, A259 Cheriton Road, A259 Castle Hill Avenue, A259 Shorncliffe Road, A259 Earls Avenue, A259 Sandgate Road, A259 Sandgate Hill, A259 Sandgate High Street, A259 Sandgate Esplanade, A259 Seabrook Road, A259 East Street, A259 Prospect Road, A259 Rampart Road, A259 Red Lion Square, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 Scanlons Bridge, A261 London Road, A261 Hythe Road, A20 Ashford Road, B2068 Stanford Intersection, A20 Ashford Road, A20 Sandling Road and A20 Ashford Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
B2011 Dover Hill, Folkestone, CT19 6LW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow carriageway works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2011 Dover Hill, Folkestone, on or after 5th September 2024 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed the entire length, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via B2011 New Dover Road, B2011 Folkestone Road, A20 Hougham Slip Westbound On, A20 Trunk Road, A20 Dual Carriageway, A260 Alkham Valley Road, A260 Canterbury Road, A260 Hill Road Dual Carriageway and B2011 Dover Hill.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via B2011 Dover Hill, A260 Hill Road Dual Carriageway, A260 Canterbury Road, A20 Dual Carriageway, A20 Trunk Road, A20 Hougham Slip Eastbound Off, B2011 Folkestone Road and B2011 New Dover Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
B2080 Rhee Wall Road, Snargate (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2080 Rhee Wall Road, Snargate, on or after 16th September 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Arrowhead Bungalow, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2080 Station Road, B2080 The Street, B2080 Tenterden Road, B2080 Reading Street, B2080 Appledore Road, B2067 Woodchurch Road, B2067 Brook Street, B2067 Kenardington Road, B2067 Warehorne Road, B2067 Kenardington Road, B2067 Warehorne Road, Ashford Road, A2070 Ashford Road Junction With Bypass Link Road To Hamstreet, A2070 Hamstreet Bypass, A2070 Ashford Road, A2070 From Ashford Road To District Boundary, A2070 Rhee Wall To Ashford Road, B2080 Rhee Wall, B2080 Rhee Wall Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
B2080 Station Road, Snargate, TN26 2DG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2080 Station Road, Snargate, on or after 2nd September 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Station Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2080 Station Road, B2080 The Street, B2080 Tenterden Road, School Road, Kenardington Road, Appledore Road, B2067 Warehorne Road, B2067 Kenardington Road, B2067 Warehorne Road, Ashford Road, A2070 Ashford Road Junction With Bypass Link Road To Hamstreet, A2070 Hamstreet Bypass, A2070 Ashford Road, A2070 From Ashford Road To District Boundary, A2070 Rhee Wall To Ashford Road, B2080 Rhee Wall, B2080 Rhee Wall Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
C564 From Lympne Town Boundary To A261 London Road & Aldington Road, Pedlinge, CT21 4JJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of C564 From Lympne Town Boundary To A261 London Road & Aldington Road, Pedlinge, on or after 18th September 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The closures will be between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only.
C564 From Lympne Town Boundary To A261 London Road will be closed between the junctions of Aldington Road and A261 Hythe Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Aldington Road will be closed between the junctions of C564 From Lympne Town Boundary To A261 London Road and Lympne Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A261 Hythe Road, Stone Street, Aldington Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
From St Marys Road To Newchurch Lane, Newchurch, TN29 0DQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of From St Marys Road To Newchurch Lane, Newchurch, on or after 19th September 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed opposite The Street, between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via From St Marys Road To Newchurch Lane, St Marys Road, Lane From Junction With Turnagate Cottage To Hope Lane, Hope All Saints, Ashford Road, Newchurch Lane, From Newchurch To Junction With Newchurch Road Bilsington And Hony Wood Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Harringe Lane, Sellindge, TN25 6HP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Harringe Lane, Sellindge, on or after 4th September 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of A20 Main Road and Partridge Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Harringe Lane, B2067 Aldington Road, B2067 Otterpool Lane, A20 Ashford Road, A20 Barrow Hill, A20 Main Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Mountain Lane, Brookland (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow rail inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mountain Lane, Brookland, on or after 3rd September 2024 for up to 7 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the railway crossing, between the hours of 23:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Reece Lane, Swingfield, CT15 7HR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Reece Lane, Swingfield, on or after 19th September 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of A260 Canterbury Road to the entrance of Owl Cottage, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Reece Lane, Ladwood, Forge Hill, Hoad Road, A260 Canterbury Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Tillery Lane, Brookland, TN29 9TR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow rail works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tillery Lane, Brookland, on or after 3rd September 2024 or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the level crossing, between the hours of 23:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tillery Lane, A259 Rhee Wall, Tickners Lane, Barnhouse Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
