What is happening?

WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
The Somerset Council
(No. 5) Modification Order, 2024
Parish of Yeovilton

The above Order, made on 16 August 2024 under Section 53(2)(b) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive statement for the area by:

Recording the width of the public right of way in the Parish of Yeovil Without which starts at the parish boundary at grid ref ST 55570 26722 and runs in a generally south south easterly, east north easterly, south south easterly and then south south westerly direction along Eastmead Lane for approximately 1790 metres to the A303 at grid ref ST 55283 25042. The width of the bridleway between ST 55570 26722 and ST 55289 25070 is as shown excluded from the surrounding hereditaments on the Finance Act 1910 record plan. A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge by appointment (Tel: 01823 355 644) at Somerset Council, County Hall, The Crescent, Taunton, TA1 4DY from 9am until 3pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the Order and plan may be obtained there free of charge or by contacting rightsofway@somerset.gov.uk. Any representation about or objection to the Orders may be sent in writing to the Rights of Way, Somerset Council, County Hall, Taunton, TA1 4DY, to be received not later than 3 October 2024.
Please state the grounds on which it is made. If no such representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Somerset Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the Order. If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
