Finsthwaite Lane, Backbarrow - Temporary Road Closure due to Utility Works.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the C5049 Finsthwaite Lane, from its junction with Leven View, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 100 metres.

A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the U5220, C5024, A590 and the unrestricted section of the C5049 Finsthwaite Lane.

The Order will come into operation on 9th September 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 3 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
