The London Borough of Redbridge The Redbridge (Prescribed Routes) (School Streets) (No.1) (Amendment No.1) Order 2024
[NOTE: This Notice is about creating a school street scheme for Cleveland Road Primary School, Christchurch Primary School, Farnham Green Primary School, and Newbury Park Primary School by creating a part-time (school street) pedestrian and cycle zone in the roads and for the times set out in in the Schedule].
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Redbridge ('the Council') on 15 August 2024 made in part the above-named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended). Proposals for Barley Lane Primary School and Gilbert Colvin Primary School will not be progressed, and proposals for Uphall Primary School will be progressed under an experimental order.
2. The general effect of the Order which comes into operation on 2 September 2024 is to introduce new part-time pedestrian and cycle zones in the roads in the Schedule to this Notice.
3. All motor vehicles, except permit holders, will be prohibited from entering each pedestrian and cycle zone during the hours specified in relation to that zone in the Schedule. Permits allowing vehicles to enter each pedestrian and cycle zone will be available for: -
(a) residents or employees of business organisations located within or accessible only from that pedestrian and cycle zone; or,
(b) disabled person's badge holders who have a bona fide reason to enter or leave a vehicle in that pedestrian and cycle zone by application to the Council.
4. A copy of the Order and other documents giving detailed particulars about them may be examined along with map-based plans at the Customer Centre, Lynton House, 255-259 High Road, llford, IG1 1 NY between 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders were made. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
