What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all users: Footpath 56, Holt; from its junction with Melksham Road to its junction with the Little Parks housing estate to enable Surveys, security and construction. No alternative route is available. The closure will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 29 August 2024 and the closure will be required until 27 February 2025. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 6 months. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) C86 (Part), Corsham and Biddestone; from its junction with A4 to its junction with C159 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out drainage works and other associated works. Alternative route via C159 - A4 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 17 September 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 for 1 day. B) Christchurch Road (Part), Bradford on Avon; from its junction with Berryfield Road to its property known as No.39 Christchurch Road to enable Wessex Water to carry out sewer repairs and associated works. This Order will come into operation on 19 September 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 1 day. This Order will come into operation on 27 August 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 for 2 days. H) B3353 (Part), Corsham; from its junction with Monks Lane for a distance of approximately 330m in a north westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out civil works and other associated works. Alternative route via B3353 (unaffected length) - A365 - B3109 - A4 -B3353 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 August 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 23:59 for 3 days. Orders A) to H) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Order I) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, VARIOUS PARISHES) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (No.43) 2024(Ref TTRO 9732)

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice. The order is required to enable micro asphalt surface treatments and associated maintenance works and will be operative from the 16 September 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. The closures are anticipated to be for up to 5 days but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The closures are anticipated to take place between 16 September 2024 and 28 October 2024. Schedule 1. Alfred Street (Part), Westbury; from its junction with Market Place to its junction with Bitham Mill. 2. The Crescent, Westbury; from its junction with B3097 to its junction with A350. 3. Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice. The order is required to enable carriageway retexturing and associated maintenance works and will be operative from the 16 September 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. The closures are anticipated to be for up to 5 days but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The closure is anticipated to take place between 16 September 2024 and 28 October 2024. Schedule 1. B3109 (Part), South Wraxall; from its junction with C224 to its junction with C214. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ACT 2004 THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (WESTBURY, HEYWOOD AND DILTON MARSH) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING, TAXI RANK CLEARWAYS AND ON STREET PARKING) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2019 (AMENDMENT NO.6) ORDER 2024

(Previously advertised as 2023) Notice is hereby given that on 12 August 2024 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 amend the following restrictions in the Westbury, Heywood and Dilton Marsh Consolidation Order 2019 the effect of which is to revoke Map Schedule Nos. FP30 and FQ30 dated 20 May 2019 and replace them by the insertion of revised Map Schedule Nos. FP30 and FQ30 dated 26 August 2024 the effect of which will be to introduce No Waiting at any time on Alfred Street, Westbury - north side - from a point outside the eastern building boundary of property No.69 Alfred Street to a point outside the boundary between property Nos. 30 Alfred Street and No.2 Bitham Mill; B3098 Bratton Road, Westbury -north side - from a point opposite the boundary of property Nos. 60 and 62 Bratton Road for a distance of 14 metres in a north easterly direction; Glovers Row, Westbury - both sides - from its junction with Alfred Street for a distance of 8 metres in a north westerly direction. Following a decision from the Cabinet Member for Highway, Street Scene and Flooding amendments have been made to the proposals previously advertised on Alfred Street. A copy of the Order can be obtained via email request to TrafficOrders@wiltshire.gov.uk. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 26 August 2024.
