(VARIOUS ROADS, GRAVESHAM) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT NO.20) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the Kent County Council proposes to make the above-named Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 32, 35, 36, and 124 and Parts I to IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to amend the Kent County Council (Various Roads, Gravesham) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2021 as follows:
1. Introduce ‘No waiting at any time’ (double yellow line) restrictions in the following locations
ABBEY ROAD – at the junction of Rochester Road. BEDFORD ROAD – at the junctions with Napier Road, Nelson Road, Salisbury Road and Seymour Road. BROOK ROAD – at the junction of All Saints Road. CHALKY BANK – across the accessway to 70 – 74 Chalky Bank, at a length of 10m. CROSS ROAD – at the junctions of Burch Road and Pier Road. DICKENS ROAD – at the entrance to the Riverside Centre. FISHERMEN’S HILL – on the western side, from the car park for 7m in a southerly direction. From the northern boundary of No’s 13-18 in a southerly direction to the western boundary of No’s 1 to 6, in Kingston Court, revoking and replacing the existing ‘no waiting 8am to 6:30pm, Monday to Saturday’ restriction. FIVEASH ROAD – at the junction of Dover Road. FORD ROAD – on the southern side, extending the existing no waiting at any time restriction by 50m west, revoking and replacing the existing ‘no waiting 8am to 6:30pm, Monday to Saturday’ restriction. GILL CRESCENT – extending the existing no waiting at any time restriction by 3.5m east, to the boundary of 13/15 Gill Crescent. IFIELD WAY/MISKIN WAY – at various points along the entire length, including the junctions of Apsledene, Cobsdene, Franklin Road, Kilndown, Mackenzie Way, The Glades, The Hollies and Winters Croft and parking areas. KINGSTON COURT – either side of the entrance into The Hive bin store and garages. LANDSEER AVENUE – on the eastern side from No. 1 round to the eastern boundary of No. 17 and the corner opposite No. 17. LANES AVENUE – at the junction with Westcott Avenue. LANSDOWNE SQUARE – at the junctions of Burch Road and Pier Road. LORTON CLOSE – at the junction of Valley Drive. MACKENZIE WAY - at various points along the entire length, including junctions of parking areas. MILTON ROAD – at the junction of the accessway between numbers 82 and 83 Milton Road. On the eastern side, continuing to the existing pedestrian crossing. NAPIER ROAD – on the bend outside 66 Napier Road. NELSON ROAD – from Snelling Avenue to the boundary of 1/2 Nelson Road, the junction opposite and at the junction of Seymour Road. PACKHAM ROAD – between the junction of Coldharbour Road and Marks Square, into the junction of Boucher Drive and Marks Square. PARROCK ROAD – for its entire length, revoking and replacing all existing ‘no waiting 8am to 6:30pm, Monday to Saturday’ restrictions. PELHAM ROAD – between existing ‘no waiting at any time’ restrictions at No. 96 and existing shared use bay outside No. 102. RIDGEWAY AVENUE – where the bend meets Northridge Road on the north-west corner, around No. 104 and at the junction of Central Avenue. RURAL VALE – from the boundary of 39/40 Rural Vale for a total length of 12m heading east. SNELLING AVENUE – at the junction of Newman’s Road. SOUTHFLEET ROAD – at the junction of Coopers Road. SPRINGHEAD ENTERPRISE PARK – at the entrance to Unit U, on both sides. ST MARKS AVENUE – on the bend and junction between No’s 87, 93 & 95 and 108 St Marks Avenue and at the junction of Cremorne Road. STRUTTONS AVENUE – at the junction of Greenhill Road, Hardy Avenue and Struttons Avenue. TRINITY ROAD – introduce ‘no waiting at any time’ restrictions at the entrance of Blenheim Grove, on both sides. WATERCRESS WAY – at the junction of Dover Road. WROTHAM ROAD – between numbers 400 and 408 and outside No. 416, revoking any ‘no waiting 1pm to 1:30pm, Monday to Friday restrictions. WYCLIFFE ROW – on the bend outside 20A Wycliffe Row.
2. IFIELD WAY – introduce ‘No stopping except buses’ restriction in the layby alongside No. 2 Ifield Way.
3. LYNTON ROAD SOUTH – alongside 99 Old Road West, remove ‘Advisory Disabled Bay’ and replace with ‘Permit Parking Area (TC05) Mon-Fri 1pm-2pm’ restriction.
4. THE AVENUE – outside No. 10 The Avenue, remove ‘Advisory Disabled Bay’ and replace with ‘Permit Parking Area (TC04) Mon-Fri 11am -12pm’ restriction.
5. WROTHAM ROAD – outside 150 Wrotham Road, remove ‘Advisory Disabled Bay’ and replace with ‘Permit Parking Area (TC05) Mon-Fri 1pm-2pm’ restriction.
6. ARTHUR STREET – on the northern side between the junctions of Cambrian Grove and Cutmore Street extend the western shared use bay by 5m towards Cambrian Grove and the western shared use bay by 4.8m towards Cutmore Street. On the southern side, between the junctions of Darnley Road and Cambrian Grove, at the junction of Cambrian Grove, the junction of Nine Elms Grove, the junction of Cutmore Street and between the junctions of Clifton Grove and Wrotham Road, revoke and replace ‘no waiting 8am to 6:30pm, Monday to Saturday’ restriction with ‘no waiting at any time’ restriction.
7. EDWIN STREET – move the existing disabled parking bays 12.5m north towards Milton Road, revoking the ‘No waiting at any time’ restriction and introduce two ‘Permit Holders Only (B) MonSat and Sun midnight-8am and 6.30pm-midnight/Payment Parking Mon-Sat 8am-6.30pm Max Stay 2hrs No Return Within 1hr’ parking places between the buildout at No. 94 and the disabled parking bays.
8. NEW ROAD – on the northern side between the junctions of St James Street and Bath Street, introduce ‘No loading at any time’ restrictions, revoking and replacing any existing ‘No loading Mon-Sat 7.30am-9.30am and 4.30pm-6.30pm’ restrictions.
9. ST ANDREWS ROAD – revoke all ‘no waiting 8am to 6:30pm, Monday to Saturday’ restrictions. On the junctions with The Grove and Peacock Street, replace with ‘no waiting at any time’ restrictions for 7m. On the northern side, extend existing shared use bays to meet the proposed ‘no waiting at any time restrictions.’ On the southern side, introduce two shared use ‘Permit Holders Only (B) Mon-Sat 7am-7pm/Limited Waiting Mon-Sat 7am-7pm 2hrs No Return Within 1hr’ bays, one between No’s. 7 to 11 (at a length of 18m) and the second alongside 77 Peacock Street (at a length of 13m). Introduce ‘no waiting at any time’ restriction between these two bays, at a length of 17m.
10. STUART ROAD – introduce ‘no loading at any time’ restrictions, at the junction with Overcliffe.
11. SPRINGHEAD ENTERPRISE PARK - introduce a ‘No Waiting for Heavy Goods Vehicles Exceeding 7.5 Tonnes 7pm-7am’ restriction on Springhead Enterprise Park, Northfleet from its junctions with Springhead Road for its entire length.
12. WELLINGTON STREET – introduce ‘no waiting at any time’ double yellow line) restrictions across the access way north of 156 Wellington Street, revoking and replacing the existing ‘no waiting 8am to 6:30pm, Monday to Saturday’ restrictions and across the access into Rainbow Tree Nursery. Remove disabled bay outside 1a/157 Wellington Street and replace with shared use ‘Permit Holders Only (B) Mon-Sat and Sun midnight-8am and 6.30pm-midnight / Payment Parking Mon-Sat 8am-6.30pm Max Stay 2hrs No Return Within 1hr’ restriction.
